'This deal will make me look terrible’: Full transcripts of Trump’s calls with Mexico and Australia
Washington Post ^

Posted on 08/03/2017 6:25:05 AM PDT by UKrepublican

The Washington Post has obtained transcripts of two conversations President Trump had with foreign leaders: one with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and another with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The transcripts were prepared by the White House but have not been released. The Post is publishing reproductions rather than original documents in order to protect sources. The reproductions below also include minor spelling and grammatical mistakes that appeared in the documents.

Just speed read Trumps conversation with Mexico president and I have to say it was an example of the best negotiating I have ever witnessed. Trump frames his strengths and Mexico’s weaknesses beautifully. He established the good cop/bad cop relationship, he established his bottom line, he outlined where they have common ground and where he is non-negotiable. He handled the “who will pay for wall” issue magnificently.

This is a crazy breach. It's extremely damaging to the country no matter who the President is.

If the POTUS can't have confidential conversations with other world leaders we're all in trouble.

The transcripts have been fairly widely distributed by now - at least to the NSC - but to think somone in the inner circle is so concerned as to leak this is disturbing.

I think they have had them since the quotes from the conversations were released. Just waiting till they needed a distraction. Like the pussy tape.

Just read the Turnbull conversation. Here Turnbull’s argument that Trump had no obligation to take anyone and only had to agree to vet them combined with honoring an agreement that Obama made. With that it was reasonable For Trump to agree however, Trump blasted Turnbull so much that Turnbull now owes Trump a favor.

Makes one wonder if the Muellers and Brennans of the world have the phones tapped. It wouldn’t surprise me at this point..

This is likely why they need a distraction. It’s a coup that is being actively pushed by the GOP. They’re boxing POTUS in.

Date was late last night:
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/bipartisan-senate-bill-aims-protect-special-counsels-job-49001867

<< Two members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are moving to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s job, putting forth new legislation that aims to ensure the integrity of current and future independent investigations.

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware plan to introduce the legislation Thursday. The bill would allow any special counsel for the Department of Justice to challenge his or her removal in court, with a review by a three-judge panel within 14 days of the challenge.

The bill would be retroactive to May 17, 2017 — the day Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible ties to Donald Trump’s campaign. >>

“Kelly’s job just got tougher. When the President gets back from vacation, the leakers need to be history.”

Yes, they do, but in this instance is could clearly have been Mexico and Australia who leaked.

Regarding the Obama connection with all of this, they need to be setting ‘leak traps’ that are aimed at the highest levels.

AGREED.

ZERO left the place with multiple bugs.

Also need to park a ZAP-EM bug removal van out in front of the Kallorama Alt-HDQR.

Note: The van faces left towards the problem.      /s

Also, we have to consider that Trump is being surveilled. It would not be the least bit surprising if the NSA or another agency was doing this.

Also, the Seth Rich/Trump link was blown up so they needed something else.

I wonder if General Kelly (or someone under him) has been doing this very thing this past week as it seems like we have leaks galore happening right now. Best advice for anyone working in the White House to do is to keep their mouths shut with any reporters. If the reporters have any questions they can ask Sarah Sanders.

Of course the phones are tapped. And they likely dropped small root kit malware in every single electronic piece of equipment in the WH before they left, all the way down to wireless printers or even doorbells. You can change every piece of computer equipment in the building but all it takes is one missed device with enough memory and wireless capability to later phone home and/or communicate with the new, “pristine” equipment and escalate privileges from there. Unless someone LOYAL TO TRUMP is head of the Trump security team, the listeners can hear everything in every room that has a device with a microphone. (Cell phones, computers, security monitoring devices, TVs, etc.)

Or is could simply be NSA who’re working for the Deep State.

Well wikileaks has been giving us a taste of the intel community’s toolkit. We probably can’t imagine some of their capabilities.

What’s the big deal about this?....I can’t see a problem with how Trump handled this....he has said all along we have to be flexable and no surprise he’s doing just that in order to get what’s important for this country to come about.

Get tired of the lefts mentality when they can’t see beyond the tip of their noses if that. ....what dunces to say the least.

Most urgent is that the work to get rid of people letting this stuff out to a toxic media needs to continue to be addressed. If the media continues to make stories out of non stories or fake news I’d just shut them out. At soe point ignore them at the very least.

“Yes but the Australian conversation leaked also”

I agree the leak is likely on our side.

Very serious. Leaders need to be able to have private conversations.
