Nothing is ever settled until it is settled the way liberals want it settled, and then it is settled, until liberals change their mind as to how it should be settled, and then it is unsettled again until it is settled the way liberals want it settled.
She’s a Black RAT!
She needs to move to Cuber or Venezuela where she can get more streets named after murderer Che.
Well, I, for one, am offended that blacks keep naming streets after a cocaine-using hooker-humping plagiarist! (MLK)
Tell her it was Spike Lee and Samuel L. Jackson. She’ll never know the difference.
“We’re not going to change our name. Ft. Bragg has nothing to do with the Confederacy. We don’t have race issues here.”
Ft. Bragg Mayor Dave Turner, in response to request from California lawmakers that the town change its name
Anyone else fed up with this constant BS?
Of course. It's politics as usual.
I don't see any sign that she "flipped" or "flipped out," though.
If it's somebody one agrees with one commends them for sticking to their guns and not backing down.
People one disagrees with do the same thing sometimes.
There is always a line out there somewhere upon which you dare not tread, let alone cross.
NYC needs more than a street name change on Army property, she should direct her efforts in other meaningful areas. What idiots they elect to office. Yes I’m sure they changed the names of the streets in Camp Siegfried, but they were on private property at the time. Enough already! Concentrate on making the streets of NYC safe, a name change won’t do that.
I hope she never finds out about Forts Bragg, Lee, Gordon, Hood, Polk, Rucker, A.P. Hill, Benning, Pickett, or Beauregard. I may be missing a few.
The US Army used to have THREE tanks, the LEE and STUART the SHERMAN. No one complained about the names then.
Both outstanding U.S. military officers BEFORE the civil war, and outstanding examples of expert military men in any military book. Their history is more than the civil war period, and neither man was likely a stern advocate of slavery as they were loyal to Virginia, their home state by birth and in life.
Lee said:
“In this enlightened age, there are few I believe, but what will acknowledge, that slavery as an institution, is a moral & political evil in any Country.”
“While we see the course of the final abolition of human slavery is still onward, and give it the aid of our prayers, let us leave the progress as well as the results in the hands of Him who, chooses to work by slow influences, and with whom a thousand years are but as a single day.”
“So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that slavery is abolished. I believe it will be greatly for the interests of the South. So fully am I satisfied of this, as regards Virginia especially, that I would cheerfully have lost all I have lost by the war, and have suffered all I have suffered, to have this object attained”

Lee didn’t want war or secession, yet he felt his loyalty had to be to Virginia.
Stonewall Jackson’s views on slavery:
Jacksons View On Slavery
“Like many Southerners, Jackson struggled with his feelings about the institution of slavery, but it obviously was Gods will that it exista belief widely held in the South. In 1855, he began teaching Sunday school classes to slaves in Lexington, a violation of Virginias segregation laws. Slaves came to know him through these classes and sometimes begged him to buy them so they wouldnt be sold into the Deep South where they might be worked literally to death. In 1906, long after Jacksons death, Reverend L. L. Downing, whose parents had been among the slaves in Jacksons Sunday school, raised money to have a memorial window dedicated to him in the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church of Roanoke, Virginialikely making “Stonewall” the only Confederate general to have a memorial in an African American church.”

The New York rep trying to have the streets renamed is one who is working NOT to preserve and be able to tell history, warts and all, but to wipe it out. Many persons of the civil war era were not “saints” in every way, but many who were not saints were not the devil either.
Maybe they will ‘go after’ Sheila JACKSON LEE and oust her from the CBC for having a racist name.
These people are really demented.
