Five active-duty service members sued President Trump Wednesday over his intentions to ban transgender personnel from serving in the military.

“The directive to reinstate a ban on open service by transgender people violates both the Equal Protection component of the Fifth Amendment and the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” states the suit filed in U.S. District Court in Washington by five anonymous “Jane Does.”

They are represented by the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD).

You are right. The courts can and do more damage than N. Korea can.

Exactly. So why would a judge take this case, instead of turning them away in the first place.

From Wikipedia:

The total number of Obama Article III judgeship nominees to be confirmed by the United States Senate is 329, including two justices to the Supreme Court of the United States, 55 judges to the United States Courts of Appeals, 268 judges to the United States district courts, and four judges to the United States Court of International Trade.

If this so called right was so important, why didn’t Obama make it policy before he was walking out the door?

That is in a sense correct. If you are active duty, or called in as a Reservist, the UCMJ is the “law of the land”. The rights provided to you by the Constitution are secondary and would only apply to you in a civil sense.

This is a coordinated attack on our military as ruthless as any enemy in the field would be.

Deviancy is not a 5th Amendment issue.

The service members flounced into court, stamped their feet and filed their lawsuit on pink pastel paper. The lawsuit stated they are just as tough as any man-identifying man and if they were not let back in they would cry.

You give up your civil rights when you sign those enlistment papers.

"Exactly. So why would a judge take this case, instead of turning them away in the first place."

Mainly because these judges know that Congress will not do it's duty in removing badly behaved judges.

Embracing the mentally ill will make the US military stranger, not stronger.

Since they require medication to put on their charade, that alone should be a dis qualifier - along with several others.

Diabetics and asthmatics cannot serve as they too need medication to function.

Are transgenders considered better than diabetics and asthmatics???

Anyone who has ever served knows that you surrender certain aspects of your Constitutional Rights while serving.

I used to tell my knuckleheads "You're defending democracy, not participating in it."

Since Transgenders must take hormone shots, they are medically dependent and therefore not world-wide deployable and unfit to serve on Active or Reserve duty.

US Transgenders taken as POWs must be provided with hormone shots, according to the Geneva Convention.

I didn’t think so either.
The plaintiffs may really be appealing to the court of public opinion.
