"Sorry but I don't see where you get to be a Nazi and also a patriotic American. A "patriotic American" would say that even a Nazi has the right to free speech and assembly in the USA, and the right to protection if other forces try to stop them. Just because their speech happens to be unpalatable doesn't mean they lose their rights.

A "patriotic American" would say that even a Nazi has the right to free speech and assembly in the USA, and the right to protection if other forces try to stop them. Just because their speech happens to be unpalatable doesn't mean they lose their rights. If it were a question of "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" then that would be one thing. But the choice given me was to support one side or the other. I won't do that, though I agree that both sides are free to promote their own agendas.

Do they now?
I don’t think we gave them that right during WWII

A "patriotic American" would say that even a Nazi has the right to free speech and assembly in the USA, and the right to protection if other forces try to stop them. This is the only sane comment I have read on the topic.
And I mean on FR, Twitter, reddit, and a few other discussion sites I have been scouring.
It's like everyone is afraid to say it. Even though it is one of the cornerstones of our country. If burning the flag is protected speech, then whatever tf the nazis are saying is equally protected.
