Really? This is way worse than starting down a slippery slope. We’ve slid almost to the bottom by now. I predict that within 6 months, at this rate, ALL vestiges of our history will be eradicated. Statues of Obama will be springing up everywhere. (Seriously.)
All vestiges of memory have already been eradicated. Google’s insidious control of public discourse though its biased search results is already far beyond anything imagined by any dystopian tale. Add in Facebook’s social engineering and thought control is virtually a fait accompli. That is only the technology; the Leftists have owned education in this country for generations, and that poison fruit has usurped not only the culture but rational thought itself.
The truth is that ideological differences are being systematically programmed to produce emotional responses completely outside the cerebral cortex. Behavioral and physiological sciences are no panacea, but anyone who thinks behavior modification stopped with Pavlov is in for a rude awakening. The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing, and it’s really not that hard to get people to do nothing.
The Confederacy was not my history. The Confederacy was the result of a Democrat hissy fit that cost hundreds of thousands of Americans their lives. If you want to claim that history for yourself then feel free to do so, but please leave me out of it.
