To: Blood of Tyrants
Now Andrew Jackson, I can see them removing his statues. He had leather collars applied to all his slaves like they were dogs. Jackson LOVED slavery. Yeah, the most prominent DEMOCRAT was a slave-lover - in EVERY sense of the word.

On the other hand, George Washington did not like slavery. He did treat his slaves well. His houseman Juba is in the famous family portrait. Slavery was an inherited institution. Sort of like abortion is today. We can't just go into a Planned Parenthood clinic and shut it down.

The first draft of Jefferson writing the Declaration of Independence had a section where he wrote about slavery being an evil institution. It was removed because the goal of the Declaration was to separate from King George. Slavery was something that was so ingrained that it was going to need a Civil War and a Republican president to remove it from the land.

These people know so little of real history ...
