Thousands filed into Newton Thursday afternoon for the 128th annual Soldiers Reunion Parade.
During the parade, Channel 9 saw that one man with a gun was taken into custody. Eyewitness News reporter Dave Faherty witnessed the incident and said the man went over to some Civil War re-enactors and pepper sprayed them.

It seems to me that when the Right — that is, normal, freedom-loving Americans — want to hold a rally or wish to make a speech, we should be armed, not just as much as our mortal enemies on the Left, but more armed than are our mortal enemies on the Left as we have no intention of using our weapons ... while our mortal enemies on the Left are dedicated to using theirs.

They are determined to provoke a normal person into fighting with them, secure in the knowledge that the media will turn it into “right wing Trump supporter attacks innocent man.”
When the violence breaks out, the media will find Trump walking to a helicopter and shove a microphone in front of him. Whatever he says will be reported as racist.

A woman was shot and killed Thursday night while sitting in a car that was stopped at a red light, police said.
Chelsie Lynn Kirschten, 23, was at the intersection of Fortification and State streets along with a female friend just before midnight when police said a man came up to the driver’s side of the car and shot Kirschten in the back and ran away.
Police said the shooting appears to be random. Nothing was stolen and the shot was fired through the closed window of Kirschten’s white Pontiac G6. The gunman didn’t say anything and walked away after the shooting, Cmdr. Tyree Jones said.

One has to read down to get this little tidbit:
Jones said the passenger in Kirschten’s car described the shooter as a black man wearing dark-colored clothing, possibly with a hood.
