You condescend very well.

You also seem to have no issue with the tendency for weather forecasters, writers, etc. to overuse superlatives on mid-scale (or lower) storms, so that when the superlatives are actually warranted they do not have the appropriate effect.

The information presented in the maps is very useful. The headline, because it looks so much like many false past headlines, may actually cause people to miss valuable information.

Kansas man—I wrote the headline. I also have a sterling reputation for providing accurate tropical storm assessments because my life and property depends upon it. You, on the other hand, do not have a clue. Give yourself a break and take in some of the other exciting threads offered on FR.

That is the domain of journalists.
