I love to follow storm news. But that may be because I’ve lived on the east coast most of my life and have been enduring hurricanes since 1960.
It’s hard to tell who’s more narcissistic - Rush or Obama. Really... all that’s going on in the world, and Rush spends the first half hour on comments some meaningless media idiots made about HIM?
I I I...ME ME ME....had to shut him off, will check back in an hour or so!
Love Rush: but he knows nothing about prepping. “just turn on the faucet” to get water?

Is Rush evacuating?
Not certain exactly what he meant, but you can fill containers with water from the faucet before a hurricane or other approaching disaster hits. Of course, a person would have to have planned and have suitable containers on hand.
Salami. Hmm... Thanks, but I’ll pass on that one. Been in Maine for over a week... First day back listening to Rush. Looks like his Palm Beach oceanfront home may be in Irma’s crosshairs...
It means that you don’t have to BUY water when you’ve got an unlimited supply from your faucet till the water’s turned off. So fill bottles, or whatever is handy so you don’t panic just because the grocery store is out of the expensive stuff.

It sounds as if he is. Mark Steyn will be hosting tomorrow and Rush just said "we have to get out of here", but he hasn't used the word evacuating. Said 'the authorities" aren't allowing businesses to be open tomorrow (probably some exceptions).
Not surprised by the announcement in regards to tomorrow. Must have gotten a call from the FL Gov. that it was not looking good for Rush’s home location of Palm Beach. Best wishes to him, the wife and kitty.
Most likely was called that his area was going to be evacuated.
I remember you and I talked about Maine before. I think you stay somewhere between St. George and Rockland?
Maybe one of these years we'll check out that area. We've spent time in Boothbay and Bar Harbor / Mt. Desert areas in past years.
I think Rush is in one one of those zones (Palm Beach County) that is under mandatory evacuation due to storm surge threat. Yes, best wishes to Rush and Catherine - and pets - and to all in Irma's path...
