When Donald Trump was elected and then started tweeting strange things or firing staffers, liberals asked conservatives, "Was Gorsuch worth it?" They are referring, of course, to the logic behind why many conservatives rallied for Trump — They wanted a conservative Supreme Court justice in the mold of Justice Scalia to replace him. Many liberals, and even conservatives, are acting now like that litmus test has passed, as if there's no redeeming factor.
Not so. Trump is still nominating judges and the Senate still needs to confirm them. Much is on the line during this process, far beyond one presidency and one federal judge. It showcases a true battle of ideas and values.

Trump is nominating conservative judicial candidates. McConnell and the Senate are doing a poor job of approving the nominees.

He needs to do some badly needed “house cleaning” first. Stop the liberal courts jesters from ruling against any progress this country might make under Trump’s leadership. Consider the 9th Circuit Court for example......what a mess there......
President Trump has spent most of his life in high end real estate. In that realm your word is your bond and you deliver on all your promises. President Trump has a lot on his plate. O really left a mess, the left wing horse flies are all looking for their chunk of flesh and the rinos are running amuck; but he will deliver. The road will have some twists and turns, the media will try to separate him from his base, and the liberals will become increasingly unhinged. Should be fun to watch!!!!
Wait till some crazy far left Senator from Oregan decides to refuse to give out the dreaded “blue slip”.

It is already happening and, I think, it is more than just Oregon. If the Dems do this on a widespread basis, it will be up to Mitch McConnell to drop the blue slip process or President Trump will have to nominate from only states with Republican Senators.
If the lawless, black-robed tyrants hadn't been so arrogant, Trump might have nominated numerous "moderate" judges; similar to the way he recently cut a deal with Schumer and the Democrats. But left-wing arrogance killed that possibility.
He’s trying to fix the 9th. He just nominated a great judge but the two idiots from Oregon blue chipped the nominee. Perhaps that needs to go away. The president should get the judges they want and yes democratic presidents should too.

He could nominate someone from outside of the 9th Circuit’s territory, there is no requirement to name someone from within. The person just had to be willing to move (and many do, anyway). That would be a typical Trump move - to just go around the problem.

Yes Gorsuch was worth a great deal. Trump may have saved the Republic, there. With the help of many US Senators
The blue slips are irritating but you can work around. Just nominate folks from more reasonable states.
Inconceivable! I am told by many freepers that Trump has not accomplished anything remotely conservative.
The Dem presidents do get the judges they want.
