There are large animal shelters in Miami and other Florida cities. While I am praying for the citizens of Florida, people do have choices, my primary concern is that the Floridians are proactive in getting their pets and shelter animals saved as well.

The Bubble Room is awful. My favorite down there is the Mad Hatter.

Shows how long ago I was down there. It was on Sanibel back in the late 70’s.

Back in the 80’s the then owners of the Bubble Room retired to the mountains north of Asheville and opened up “The Little Bubble Room” in the tiny town of Weaverville.

For the time it was out-of-place to say the least.

My Uncle and Aunt live on an ocean connected canal in Ft. Meyers. They are in their 80s and headed North early to avoid the traffic jams. The last I heard they were already up in Tennessee. They have a grandson that was going to keep an eye on their house, but he wasn’t able to get there because the authorities would not let him into the neighborhood.

We have good friends who live in Sebring who were going to be coming up to stay with us this week before the hurricane. They cancelled their trip so that they could stay and keep an eye on their home. We last talked to them yesterday. We are glad to see that the hurricane appears to be weakening and going further west. It looked for awhile like they eye was going to go straight up the middle of the state where they are.

I use to frequent the Bubble Room years ago. What a place, you have to go there to understand the Bubble Room. I often wondered if it was still going strong. Whata place.
