Jimmy Carter brands US ‘oligarchy’ & urges Trump to sign N. Korea peace treaty
RT ^ | 13 Sep 2017

Former US President Jimmy Carter said the US works more like an "oligarchy than a democracy," while also lambasting Trump's “hopeless” approach to solving the Israel-Palestine issue, and the increasing tension with North Korea. The former president was speaking at a ‘Conversation with the Carters’ event at his Carter Center in Atlanta on Tuesday. He said money in politics is what makes the US more like an oligarchy – run by a small group of rich people – rather than a democracy, AP reports.

This isn’t the first time the 39th president has made such comments. In 2015, he referred to the “unlimited political bribery” that has “created a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors.”

On escalating tensions between the US and North Korea, Carter said, “The first thing I would do is treat the North Koreans with respect.”

“I know what the North Koreans want,” he said. “What they want is a firm treaty guaranteeing North Korea that the US will not attack them or hurt them in any way, unless they attack one of their neighbors.” Carter said, “But the United States has refused to do that.”

Carter said he would send his top person to Pyongyang immediately, adding: “If I didn’t go myself.” The former president visited North Korea three times between 1994 and 2011.

"Until we're willing to talk to them and treat them with respect as human beings, which they are, then I don't think we'll make any progress," he said.

How is he still alive?

Don’t tell me John McCain will linger for years, too.

Although NK deserves absolutely zero/nada/0 respect, he’s right about oligarchy. The model for all nations today is oligarchy, US included, regardless of being branded a Republic, democracy or socialist or communist or dictatorship.

This Carter fellow sure makes some good points. Shame that he was never president. He could have put all those good ideas into action.

Oh, wait a minute. He was president. And he made a mess of almost everything he touched.

The burden is always ours. Always. Some black people cant just be rotten, they are oppressed by Whitey America. Illegal immigrants are “dreamers” while we are dream-crushers. North Korea is not an inhumane dictatorship that inflicts horror on its own and threatens the world, it is misunderstood because the US does not “respect” it.

“He said money in politics is what makes the US more like an oligarchy – run by a small group of rich people”

And if he bothered to look, he’d find that the vast majority of this oligarchy are rich Liberals. ( i.e. Soros, Steyer, The “Cock” Bros., Wall St., Silicon Valley, Hollywierd, the MSM management, etc.)

Jimmy Carter brands US ‘oligarchy’ & urges Trump to sign N. Korea peace treaty

Why? North Korea has violated every single agreement/treaty they've entered into with us for the past several decades! (fact, not hyperbole) There is absolutely no reason to believe a treaty with North Korea is worth even the paper it is printed on - unless maybe that paper is relatively soft, rolled up, and has periodic perforations in it...

Former US President Jimmy Carter said ... while also lambasting Trump's “hopeless” approach to solving the Israel-Palestine issue...

Hey, Jimmy-boy, how well did your approach work at solving it? Seems you did not and do not know d**k about solving it either. Personally, I don't think it can be solved. I don't think there will ever be peace between them.

The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic but it works more like an oligarchy because of idiot Delusional Lying Leftists like you, Mr. Carter.

But by God’s grace, we are going to purge Washington D.C. of the likes of your Lying Leftist politician friends and restore our Free Constitutional Republic and you can go pound sand Mr. Carter.

The reason there is no treaty is because the Koreans just can’t be trusted. They have no ethics and would consider a treaty a tool to assist their agression

By world standards, the Koreans have no ethics.

Jimmy Carter brands US ‘oligarchy’ & urges Trump to sign N. Korea peace treaty

The 2nd worst POTUS in the history of the U.S. and he has the nerve to make a stupid statement like this!

What is Jimmah trying to do? We thought he was happy at the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and happy that a worst POTUS than himself had just been dethroned?

Maybe he still has brain cancer not that I would want anybody to have one of the worst things that can happen to anybody on this good earth.
