He cannot - he’s without jurisdiction to do so. Trump should not bother waiting for the inevitable SCOTUS smack-down of this twit, he should just ignore the used ass wipe, and continue with the plan. It’s about time we all start telling these federal bench warmers to go jump off a cliff.

In a constitutional sense, the judge’s ruling may be correct. The legislative branch controls spending. The judge still sucks however.

Federal judges support sanctuary for major population centers so millions who’ve broken our laws and defecated on our rules can be safe?

If they can get away with this s**t why can’t these judges be arrested for dereliction of duty? They’re subverting our laws and sovereignty So how can the law protect these judges, as they refuse to protect legitimate American citizens in their own cities?

The judges are acting like they’re insane. Either that or they have agendas driven by bad intent. Either way, these people should be removed by force to protect the welfare and safety of our own legitimate citizens.

Ignore the senile bastard. What’s he gonna do about it? Take away Trump’s birthday? Useless old fools like him are the reason why euthanasia is a seriously considered topic these days.

Someone show me where judges get to make law.

Or enforce it.

There is going to be a helluva revolution against the tyranny of the black robes. Not violent, but powerful and undeniable.

The people have spoken, and they didn’t vote for judges to make law.

Can CNN reporters also issue nationwide rulings? If not, why not? And how about ESPN announcers . . .

yup: see Anthony Kennedy and Sandra Day O’Connor. Two of Reagan’s appointees that are average or below average.

Scalia, he was a champion.

Like Bush I: Clarence Thomas is awesome. But David Souter? What a freaking disappointment.

Says they have to give them grants, so give them a $1.00 grant. Govt has then complied with the ruling.

Well said. The Judicial branch is going to have to come to grips with deciding cases according to the Constitution and law and put their political views in their closets at home.

Hopefully they’ll decide to do it peacefully.

It probably already is.

I’d have a hard time believing laws weren’t set up to avoid this eventuality from the get go.

It’s like all public offices in our nation require some form of oath that includes the promise to uphold the laws of our nation, some even mentioning the Constitution by name.

Then Congress, states, municipalities, and the courts refuse to enforce the penalty for refusing to abide by those oaths, and then when it hits the fan, Congress promises to tighten up the laws that already exist.

It’s all kabuki...

Congress funds the administration, and the administration gets to decide how to deploy that funding within its departments.

These funds are Justice Department grants to cities to help pay for federal law enforcement activities. If a court tries to compel the payments, then they cease to be grants.

The court should bypass the middle man here and simply compel Congress to disburse the funds directly to the cities. It would be just as much a Constitutional overreach, but it would be more direct.

He must swear the same as SCOTUS, Congress and the military, “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Illegals by definition are enemies. He failed to uphold his duty so kick him off the bench and/or jail him.

There is something that needs to be fixed in Federal law,

Drop the whole DADA amnesty law idea, fix that in another EO and pass a law that specifically allows defunding for this reason.

Congress has the power to define the authority of the lower courts. They ought to severely limit the ability of district judges to issue nationwide injunctions against the executive branch. This power is being massively abused at the moment and Congress should stop it. (Oh, I forgot, Congress is under the leadership of Jug Ears and The Turtle....)

<>We are a post-constitutional Republic.<>

Press reports used to cite the Constitutional logic as to why a judge shot down a law, exec order, or regulation.

Today, they don’t bother. It doesn’t matter. ‘Some damn judge just doesn’t like it’ is enough.
