Also requesting prayers. I was viciously (no exaggeration) by a large dog on Sunday afternoon and that !@/&#*%# beast got both of my arms.
The animal will be put down next week - but my opinion of whether that timeline is decent and acceptable differs from the dog owners’ opinion.
For any of you who haven’t had this type of experience, I don’t recommend it.

My dear friend, the dog’s owner, was sitting next to me holding his leash when he bolted away from her and pulled her chair over which freaked him out, causing him to attack her head/face/throat.
I began getting up from my chair to help her as she began to fall so was right there when he began his VICIOUS attack on her. I wasn’t the only person who was instantly afraid that he would kill her. It was sickening and horrifying to look down at the back of his head and neck above my friend.... and the noises.... horrible..... anyway, so I slapped his head and he didn’t care for that.
He lunged and got both of my arms more than once but not a good hold and I spun to get away but fell because I never had really gained my balance, anyway.
He was stopped from getting to me by another (strong male) friend who got there in time to hold him back with a chair, lion-tamer style, until the dog’s other owner, my friend’s husband, took control of him.
Entire episode took about three seconds.
Bites on one arm are bad and I just had to start antibiotics because developed a low grade fever. My doctor has been in touch the whole time and we were trying to avoid antibiotics but I’m happy to take them now. He said that now I should be much better early next week. Dog’s shots are up-to-date.
My friend’s wounds are minimal scalp cuts. I’m glad she still has a face and an intact throat.
I’ll add one observation: deep dog bites HURT.
Thank goodness it was no worse.
I hate that dog. They say he’ll be put down next week. Should have been immediately, IMHO, but he’s a dead dog walking.

What a frightening story, has that dog ever acted like that before? Thank God you and your friend are OK. I’ve been bit a few times, one deep in my calf, and it does hurt.
My goodness, Pax, your ordeal sounds dreadful. I’m so glad you are on a/biotics and on the mend. Dogs have always frightened me. I wish they didn’t, but they just do.

TRUMP isn’t wowing the crowd tonight.
I’ll just say that the dog has a history and that we’re in touch with an attorney for guidance about taking steps correctly because for our neighbors’ safety the dog must be put down.
We’re hoping they show integrity and do this very soon so that we don’t have to. We won’t wait long.

I’m not scared of dogs. There are a few very aggressive breeds which I have no tolerance for but I love dogs.
But not this dog.
