Four American women were attacked with acid in Marseille’s main train station in France on Sunday, the city's prosecutor's office said. A woman was arrested.

*snip*

The incident was not terror-related, French officials confirmed to Fox News.

Other sites have reported that the woman who was arrested has "deep psychological problems". If her name is released, that will probably tell the true story.

Britain has been dealing with this problem for some time now. The Daily Mail says there were 450 acid attacks in London alone last year. 450!

It’s obvious France needs acid control.

My daughter has a friend who did a two year mission trip in Marseille. Muslims pretty much controlled the city and that was several years ago.

Acid attacks common in Bang/Pack etc. Would have more expected this in UK, and by a man.

Marseille is the arm-pit of France. I wouldn’t advise anyone to put it on a tourist weekend situation. It’s been that way since the 1970s, and way before the Islam thing started up. Back in the 1990s....this was the French city with the highest rate of HIV. It’s just not a place you need to spend any time in.

Why do Americans insist on traveling to Muslim countries?

Wow,I feel better now so I can rest easy that the initial reports on 9/11 that there was a plane accident was true all along.

If one ever sees “French Connection II” from back in the ‘70s, a lot of it takes place in the “Arab quarter” of Marseilles. I heard them say it’s not terrorism but it sure makes me wonder. More facts! It has to be.

But this attack happened in France, which is not...
Oh, wait. Never mind. You’re right.

I know this is headlining Drudge in red but otherwise, the stories are sparse on this.

Psych case with a criminal record for theft and assault...? The French have yet to publicly ID the perp.

Sigh, a dozen lifetimes and five eternities since the Marseille of Pagnol's "Marius", "Fanny", and "Cesar".

Actually, it was a conspiracy by Bush. Didn't cha know?

Clearly, traveling to Europe for vacation or business is dangerous for Americans.

The whole continent is overrun with the Muslim horde and Muslims treat infidels very poorly. I'd be worried once the Muslims settle in a bit. Maybe in a year or so, there will be serious problems. And not just burning cars and rioting like in France a couple of years ago.

I'd stay away for your own safety.

Maybe this attack really wasn’t terror-related. But maybe the French police will lie to protect France’s tourist industry.

The attacker’s name will tell us everything we need to know.

= = = = = = = = =

OUR Government should NOT ban anyone from traveling wherever they want.

HOWEVER, if one decides to take a vacation in North Korea, be advised the ONLY reason we want a current picture and a name etc is so we can send your remains to the proper people.

IF you should get in trouble OF ANY SORT by breaking ANY local laws or customs, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. PERIOD.

If in a jail you may get ONE visit from ‘our’ representative - if he has nothing better to do.

HAVE A GOOD TRIP.

Oddly, first reports had a man being arrested for the attack. Now the perp is a middle-aged female who is, apparently, nameless.

I noticed that as well. Makes you wonder...initial confusion, or stacking the deck?
