Just because a guy can throw a ball through a hoop doesn't make him great, knowledgeable about ANYTHING and especially not a role model. The President has way more important thing to spend his time on.

I think a lot of these professional black/half-black players can’t reconcile the notion that they’re, perhaps, stepping and fetching for whitey even if they’re getting paid a bundle for doing it. The fact that the professional players are OWNED by mostly-white OWNERS further repulses many of them.
WHAT???? They didn't build the basic infrastrcture of our country! Blacks should obviously have been left in Africa for everyone's own good but they certainly did not build this country's early infrastructure. All the original roads, dams, buildings???? And no one should ever forget that there would have been NO BLACK SLAVE TRADE were it not for BLACKS selling their fellow BLACKS to the MOSLEM SLAVE TRADERS who ran the slave trade for centuries - basically since the inception of Islam - as one of their main money making endeavors.
We should forgive those who do US harm. It is not enjoined, nor is it rational or compassionate, to forgive those who harm OTHERS. That’s the others’ job.
For instance, I forgive a very abusive ex-husband who abused me terribly for his cruelty to me, but I will never forgive him for the horrible neglect and psychological abuse of my (and his) children. He has never repented for any of it, either. I would be cruel to my children if I forgave him for his cruelty to them. I think they’ve forgiven him, that is their job, but not mine.

Well said. I don’t think color factors in at all. Almost everything is social environment. You grow up either having the same values as the people around you, or diametrically opposed ones if you’re rebelling. Then you choose a social environment that makes you comfortable and reinforce your values. And whatever those opinions are, there will be another social group that has another belief system.
The problem I always run into in wanting people to “do their own thing” is what happens when what someone wants is invading my space. Jesse Jackson took over my apartment at the Divinity School housing because we didn’t have children and had a larger apartment. He put up Operation Breadbasket signs in the laundry room that I used to mark up. At a floor party we had a discussion where he announced that he believed anyone who wanted to not work, should be supported by society. I was dumbfounded because it was the first time I came up against someone whose belief system was taking and not all producing. Nothing to do with his color. All to do with his social belief structure.
And other places - ask the ‘K family of females.
