The Las Vegas massacre has been weighing heavily on the hearts and minds of everyone, including celebrities. In the immediate wake of the tragedy, we saw stars calling for better gun control laws, and now, a day later, we’re seeing many famous women share a powerful quote attributed to — but actually not originated by — Gloria Steinem, which compares gun control and abortion, as the House voted on legislation banning abortion after 20 weeks.

“I want any young men who buy a gun to be treated like young women who seek an abortion,” it reads. “Think about it: a mandatory 48-hour waiting period, written permission from a parent or a judge, a note from a doctor proving that he understands what he is about to do, time spent watching a video on individual and mass murders, traveling hundreds of miles at his own expense to the nearest gun shop, and walking through protesters holding photos of loved ones killed by guns, protesters who call him a murderer. After all, it makes more sense to do this for young men seeking guns than for young women seeking an abortion. No young woman needing reproductive freedom has ever murdered a roomful of strangers.”

Compare a 15 year old boy buying a gun without his parents knowledge to a 15 year old girl trying to buy an abortion.
Compare: The intent of 99% of 10 million gun sales where 99% is to shoot red dots on a paper, or tin cans on a fence and hope they never have to aim at a human... and when they do aim at a human, most of the time a shot is not fired.
Compare: The intent of 100% of abortions is to kill that blob growing in the body.

Your logic instantly leaped to my mind as well. Every abortion kills a baby by intent. A minuscule number of gun purchases are for the intent to kill a person and most of those are not made legally so all the hoops to jump through would accomplish nothing except satisfy the Liberal urge to humiliate and frustrate potential gun owners.
Abortion, that is the legalization of the murder of an unborn person, is not a God given right.

Your point is well taken. The vast majority of gun purchases result in nobody dying. The vast majority of abortions result in at least one death.

My offspring number around 21. That’s a room full of people who would not exist if my mother had aborted me. The potential offspring from a single human being can number in thousands or more, over just a few fenerations. My family rends to have 5-6 generations alive at the same time.
Thousands of people ARE murdered with every abortion.
I know nothing about the process a woman must go through to get an abortion but...I can't believe that these items are even remotely required if a young woman goes to a Planned Parenthood abortion mill.
As if buying a manufactured item is anywhere near the same as killing a human baby
Reproductive Freedom started BEFORE she spread her legs. After that, it is murder. The unborn child is not part of her body any more than a person on life support is part of the hospital. She is merely the caretaker and holds a special place of honor in society.
Further, where is the man in this decision process? Was he consulted on the killing of his child?
