Hello all... lots of things going on here.

My brother was in town for a few days - (drove in with car for granddaughter arriving Tuesday and flying out this morning)and I had breakfast with him and his wife and chatted for a few hours before heading out to visit my folks at cemetery. It is about 40 miles from my house to cemetery and I don’t get there often

My brother and wife both just retired and really just need one vehicle and his GD is in need. I recall not getting my first vehicle til I was 30 and began my realestate career. Public transportation commenting to college for first two years and Bob and I making due with one car early in marriage. For most kids it is a 16 year old expectation.

Then spent the next 8 hours with co-worker (the wine steward at the store where I do sampling). Monday morning her boyfriend of 5 years died of drug overdose . He was navy and suffered with PTSD. Been a rocky ride for past several months since he fell off wagon.

She is pretty computer illiterate (he was her IT guy) and she needed help posting about lost cat (his that she took in) it got out of her condo and disappeared the first day. So I did all the necessary work on her computer for the lost pet website and we made posters to go in neighborhood. It is totally an indoor cat and very friendly

She is not doing well.... I had one 45 min screaming situation with throwing a glass & fragments all over. Allen was 12 years younger than Jenny(46/58 and neither had been married prior. They both owned condos in same complex. She found him and had to go through all with police, detectives, dog pound (he had 4 large dogs that were taken away) She never handles stress very well... Gets very uneasy under minor pressure. Nice gal and well educated.. Masters.

Have spent a few days with her and her parents have also. Last night we were joined by a childhood friend that said she would spend night and my suggestion feigning too much wine.- my suggestion also (devious aren’t I?) The three of us had pizza/wine and before I left Jenny had another “session” but this one was much milder and shorter.. 5 minutes.

Having lunch today with my HS boyfriend. Macaroni Grill/ build a pasta) is one of my fav franchises.. and I am much more into mom and pop places.

I got home about 10 last night and was just too emotionally drained to go to anywhere to watch our Indians lose..

Weston/Nikk.. Vince Flynn. Id never read if I had to buy books. I do all at library reserves. I finished up the Brad Thor series and just reserved the first three in John Grisham ... I probably am the only avid reader who has not read one of his books (did see the movies however) I was deciding between Grisham, James Patterson, John Sanford and WEB Griffin). I was hoping to find ONE of their first books but was unsuccessful and did served the JG books and took home Space Between stars (think that is title.. didn’t start it) to read next few days

well, need to leave wifi.. feed animals, get ready for date, go to bank and meet Jim. He lives about an hour and half away and caregiver his mom in their home that they bought a few years ago. We are meeting at a place about midway

Whew, what a few days you’ve had. Hope your friend begins to cope and the kitty is found.

Good news - Longmire is back! Netflix will air the final season starting Nov. 17. I’ll be camped out in front of the tv that day. Maybe even the week before going through the seasons again. Too bad this will be the end.

I too have not read John Grisham because I rarely read a male author. Yes, Ludlum, Flynn and a FEW others. Tried Patterson and I think he writes like an elementary school kid. Just my opinion. Tried Harlan Coben but again not exciting and challenging. Bought Andrew Britton at the Goodwell but haven’t started it yet.

So sad about your co-worker and her boyfriend. I have lost a couple relatives in the last couple of years to drug overdose. Another was saved and hopefully stay clean.

Give Lucy a hug for me.

Hugs for you Dolly for being there for your coworker. She is lucky to have you to lean on, what a sad story.
Hope you enjoyed your lunch and have gotten some rest.
