Las Vegas shooting: Rate of fire - inside America's arsenal
BBC News ^ | 8th October 2017 | Paul Blake

Posted on 10/08/2017 2:08:43 PM PDT by Ennis85

The Las Vegas gunman fired hundreds of rounds, including at one point 90 bullets in 10 seconds. Such bursts of gunfire will have shocked many, especially outside the US, but everyday Americans own these powerful weapons too. Here's a guide to the firearms legally available in most US states, and the rate at which they fire bullets.

Guess what BBC.

This is why we’ll never have to “Brexit”. Can you dig it ?

Yep, and Great Britain is no longer our overlord.

Just can't stop the tears from falling here... /s

No one will ever replace them in that role either.

Wanker!

Before the video starts, there’s a warning that “some scenes may be upsetting.”

All it shows is some fat dude shooting various weapons, some in full-auto mode. Some clay targets were brutally shattered.

Some have done counts on the bursts. 100+ is a good number apparently.

90 rounds in 10 seconds.

540 rounds per minute. With a full automatic .223 AR rated anywhere from 600-900, that takes their full automatic down a notch.

Bump stocks are all BS.
Sound cool and burn a lot of ammo.

two hits on a fuel tank at 400 yards? average Joe could do that with big potato gun.

What makes you think the fuel tanks were only 400 yards away? It was my understanding that they are quite a bit further away than that.

Re: 500+ “wounded”

Has anyone seen a specific number for just gunshot wounds?

Oh what a silly BBC piece. They blurred the American weapon owner’s face as if his weapons were a Meth lab. It claimed American mass shootings were getting worse. If so, why were they not worse in the 1950s when one could mail order semi-auto weapons with no background check whatsoever.

The Orlando shooter was a licensed security officer. But what other traits did he have? ... The same as the Trolley Square Mall Shooter? The same as the beltway sniper? The same as the Little Rock Recruiting Station shooter? The same at the Fort Hood shooter? The same as the 9/11 hijackers? Oh, that’s it...they were all Mohammedan. Why can’t the BBC even discuss this? Because the BBC is made up of cowards???

Guess what BBC? If some nut is going to kill me in some random attack, I’d rather be shot than stabbed to death or ran over by a car.

The 2A wan’t contingent of future crime stats or emotions. It was and is about defending again’st a tyrannical gov’t.

So the BbC piles on with Paddock the antigun bigot to throw eggs and rocks at those gun owners getting killed.

Nice, I see the denial propaganda in Europe must be kept up, cannot admit Israel is right and Palestinian arabs are terrorists either...

Good by fckers, eat that IsIs goat sht.

Re: Fuel Tanks

I have wondered if the killer was trying to calibrate.

At night, at that distance, you might be able to see a puff of white paint, or a puff of white powder from the resin.

Or, he might be able to spot the dark bullet mark against the white background.

Re: Fuel Tank Distance

According to the Las Vegas Review, the fuel tanks were 2,000 feet away, and the concert crowd was 1,100 feet.

As I thought, 2000ft is a long way for .223.

Trust me, this is not about bump stocks.
It is about semiautos.
They have the YouTube video of the clown with a rubber band on his trigger ready to air on Monday

About the SUPPOSED calcs on the paper.

Found this tidbit. Mandalay Bay Hotel at No. 17 in my next post.

I think Paddock either fed them a red herring or they just guessed. Why not post the numbers?

The calcs would be nothing more than the ladder against the building that we learned in 6th grade.

No, those two hits can be heard as the very first shots he took. Apparently he fired three shots at the tanks, and when they didn’t explode, went into auto mode vs the crowd. It’s pretty clear on the tape.
