ARLINGTON Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said any players in his organization who disrespect the flag during the national anthem will not play in games.

Jones is the first owner in the NFL to go on record about disciplining players who disrespect the flag during the national anthem. He didn’t specify kneeling or raising fists in the arm or other gestures made by players around the league.

Jones made his strongest statements regarding the national anthem protests throughout the NFL after Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

“If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period,” Jones said. “We’re going to respect the flag and I’m going to create the perception of it.”

I’ve been paying attention since 72’.

I just don’t care anymore. The best years were in the 70’s-80’s with that ABC crew. They were funny as hell and I would walk to my brothers house every Monday Night.

6-pack of beer in hand. We would watch some hard-nosed football and have a great time.

Thanks NFL for the memories. RIP.

So what does he consider disrespecting?

The NFL is feeling the heat!

He knelt down to show support against Trump’s comment that players who disrespect the flag shouldn’t play-the very thing he is now saying!

Last week he was kneeling.

Not during the anthem he wasn't, and neither have any of his players since this all started two years ago. Pay attention...

Two cowboys raised the black power fist during the national anthem and that’s what triggered Jones.

Kneeling was showing support for the anti-cops!

It is what it is.

But what it's not is Jerry Jones being photographed kneeling during the National Anthem.

So what? The kneeling was against Trump and his comment that player’s who disrespect the flag shouldn’t play!

“Not during the anthem he wasn’t, and neither have any of his players since this all started two years ago. Pay attention...”

Before, during or after ... he was still honoring the marxists.

We know when he kneeled and he did it to show support for those who do kneel during the Anthem!

Yep. Had Bob Uecker with his beer commercials and John Madden busting through a paper ad.

Fun stuff.

And once again, you ignore the fact that he joined with the entire NFL to kneel against Trump and what he said about respecting the Anthem.

Stop defending this weasel!

Note that Jones didn’t say “kneel,” he said “disrespect.” It’s becuase a couple of Cowboys raised their fists during the anthem.

Nothing like shutting the barn door after the horses get out.

Jerry Jones' horses are all "in the barn", and they've been there for the last two years.

People need to give credit where credit is due, and Jerry Jones and his players deserve credit for not disrespecting the anthem even once. He has clearly said that any Dallas Cowboys player who does disrespect the anthem will be benched forthwith.

It's simply inaccurate to ascribe any disrespect for the flag or the anthem to any Dallas Cowboys players or employees.

Trying to conflate kneeling during the anthem with kneeling at some other time when the country isn't being honored is patently unfair...

Exactly! Now we are hearing from the compromisers who want to ignore what all 32 teams did to show their disrespect to Trump and those who voted for him.
