The organization has offered programs that include girls for decades, such as the Venturing high-adventure program and Explorers career-shadowing program. Yep, we had young ladies in my Explorer Post in the early 70's.

I don’t think so. They see this as the first step in the demise of the Girl Scouts. These organizations that lost their sense of purpose years ago are now competing for a shrinking base of parents and kids who even give a sh!t about them anymore.

Boy Scouts died when the BSA allowed homosexuality in and violated their most basic essence...”morally straight”.
As someone yesterday here said, the left infiltrates institutions, kills them and skins them, wears their old reputation and good name like a skin suit, and then finally completes the destruction.
And as Ayn Rand put it, in a compromise between food and poison, death is the only winner. The BSA and Tillerson let perversion in, and now they are imploding.

I am not happy with the decision. However, as far as the values of the two organizations, I would rather have my daughter in the Boy Scouts than the more liberal Girl Scouts. Locally, about 20 years ago I realized the local Girl Scout organization was sponsoring a women's conference with Planned Parenthood and a host of pro-abortion and feminist organizations. That said a lot to me.
