Here's why Obama stays quiet as Trump attacks his legacy
CNN ^ | October 14, 2017 | Z. Byron Wolf

Washington (CNN)With each passing day, President Donald Trump unravels another piece of Barack Obama's legacy. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The Paris climate accords. The Iran nuclear deal. Transgender people serving in the military. And, now, that most personal of policies for the former president: The Affordable Care Act. And yet Obama watches from the sidelines, mostly silent, as Trump punches holes in the dry wall of his freshly finished legacy.

I went ahead and hit CNN to find out- well to see what they had to say about it

After skimming like eight paragraphs another isix paragraphs italicized of blah blah blah from Prince Stompy Foot.

Who reads this stuff?

The answer is a one short sentence explanation

He’s working behind the scenes. Either that or his lazy self couldn’t care any less

“Obama stays quiet because the guy with his hand up Barry’s backside isn’t working Barry’s yap.”

It still BLOWS MY MIND that Obama was allowed to get away with using TELEPROMPTERS at Press Conferences. I can understand using teleprompters for speeches, but TO THIS DAY we still don’t know who was really answering the questions at these Press Conferences. The working theory is Axlerod, but it’s more of a guess.

For the FIRST time in BO’s life, someone with THEIR OWN ‘Bully Pulpit’ is standing up to him.

Not just to ridicule but to CHALLENGE him, with no punches pulled.

I was ‘against’ PDTs ‘tweets’ but they have proven most effective and more often than not, when ‘they’ try to belittle PDT he ‘flips it on them’ and they end up having to eat their words...

Can you really imagine a hands free debate between PDT and ‘the establishment’?

Granted, ‘they’ would just try to shout him down BUT the New Yorker in PDT won’t allow him to be shouted down, he more than likely would step aside and allow the ‘challenger’ carry on and rant while PDT is checking his watch, combing his hair etc etc etc ...

All it would require would be a venue and a couple of HONEST cameramen (that would be able to make sure ALL of PDTs body language is shown AND the negatives of his ‘challenger’.)

I would imagine the ONLY thing stopping something like this is FEAR of those that would be expected to challenge.

AND GOOD COMMON SENSE...but in your normal, run of the mill Liberal, common sense is not only non existent BUT if a liberal does show any signs of it, they are banished from the tribe.

The Democrats wrote Obamacare so poorly that it absolutely relied on Executive Implementation to survive.

All of the International “Agreements” were done extra-Constitutionally and therefore can be undone, completely, without the help of Congress.

All of the environmental regulation, regulation of every sort on workplace rules...”diversity”...banking, education etc. can all be undone by the Executive.

Very little of it is codified, and what is is sufficiently amorphous as to allow an Executive to implement as he chooses. Or not.

We should give thanks so little of the Obama era has any permanence in law. They always assumed it would be one of them as the Executive...whether Republican or Democrat.

Obama is quiet because his legacy consists of a phone, a pen and lots of illegal executive actions. His only accomplishment in 8 years was a health insurance scam which destroyed the country.

I never understood these international agreements. Why were they never submitted to the Senate to be ratified? The constitution requires treaties to be ratified by the Senate, by a 2/3 vote.

The Iran deal, for example, somehow they did a convoluted deal in Congress, whereby it would take a 2/3 disapproval vote to override the deal Obama made, rather than a 2/3 positive vote of approval of the deal. How that was even a legal process to begin with boggles the mind.

And then the Paris accords, agreed to on a handshake basis by Obama and numerous other countries — why did Obama and the media self congratulate over this alleged historic achievement, with no mention of it ever being submitted to the Senate to be ratified and made legally binding on America????

And as noted, Obamacare has numerous details contained in the 2000 plus pages, read by few, in which executive or administration decisions are made to implement various aspects of the law.

I don’t feel like letting CNN track cookies and clicking to find out the real reason...it would be nice to put the Cliff’s Notes here or punchline, please?

Mostly it was a protracted whine about Trump.

There’s only one story in the MSM these days: Trump is bad.

Totally agree...........;) I’m just glad he’s gone. Now I still want Congress to take some of these perks away from ex-Presidents including SECRET SERVICE protection. Just think of the money saved by doing this......probably not enough to make a dent and I realize that but it would sure go a long way in making me feel better and I bet I ain’t the only one.

Meanwhile, Bush rose above all of the attacks on him while in office. Despite his shortcomings, he had and still has honor.

Yeah, W and his "brother from another mother" Bill Klinton both are never-Trumpers who would rather have had Killary. W has never lifted a finger to help a conservative win an election. Some honor.

Jarrett is working, he is not.

They are savvy enough to realize Trump is indeed winning.

They can’t stop it, either...too many prayers, laying on of hands...the oil tanker is turning around.
