Hi Gang,
I got an early start this morning and made it to Erie, PA. Tomorrow, I will take I-90 across Ohio and Indiana to the Chicago area. I am meeting a fellow “Old Arn” addict to pick up a motor and fence for the Craftsman jointer that was virtually given to me when I bought the old 16” DeWalt radial arm saw...at Barb’s urging, I have to add! I will look for a motel between the Hinsdale Oasis and Racine. Thursday, I will stop at Racine to pick up a couple of motors and an old fence I hope to adapt to the 32” band saw I will be restoring, and then on up to Amberg, WI.
I completed the finish work on the small casket for my Mom’s urn as well as two of her pups. Shannon, my sister, is enroute, hopefully in Cedar Rapids by now. She is bringing the urns and we will combine our items and bury them on Saturday. It will be closure, as I posted earlier. Glad she will be physically next to Dad, after 27-years.
I am staying at the Motel 6 and their “free Wifi” is all screwed up. I think I am connected to the net via my iPhone, which I am charging off the laptop. I feel like an elderly McGiver!
Dolly, I will wave as I go by, north of you!
Then I’m sure you will agree that when Jesus says, “This generation will see it all” that that is exactly what he meant. And again, the first sentence of Rev. says he is showing John things which “must soon take place” that that means they will take place soon. And they did.
I do not believe that Jesus came to do part of the job. When he died, his last words were, “It is finished!” - and I believe everything is finished in Jesus.
Jesus said if they destroy the temple he will build it back in three days - the temple he was talking about was his body. I do not believe the temple will ever be rebuilt - the old covenant is gone (fulfilled), never to return. They could build a tent of meeting place per the detailed instructions in Exodus any time they wanted to. But I would not look for it. The sacrifice of Jesus has replace the temple sacrifice (as described in Hebrews) - and the temple replaced with Jesus.
