Rep. Pat Tiberi, a Republican House member from Ohio, is expected to resign as early as this week, The New York Times reported late Wednesday night.
Tiberi has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2001, and is an "influential member" of the House Ways and Means Committee with "close ties to his party's leaders," The Times notes. Tiberi was in the running to chair the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee in 2015, but lost out to Rep. Kevin Brady.
According to The Times' report, Tiberi is expected to join the Ohio Business Roundtable.

If he has influence over the membership of the Ways and Means Committee, he's probably a bootlick'n toadie to Deep State. Conservatives have not been welcome on that committee since Newt left town.

How safe is his district? Will a conservative win?
Josh Mandel is gonna be the Senate nominee (and he was ahead last time I saw), Tiberi (an ally of Kay Sick) considered but declined a Senate race.
He’s resigning cause he’s “frustrated” so he’s tapping out to cash out in the private sector.
Pathetic, finish your terms you losers!! It’s only a two year term!
Brown should be easy to pick off. But Mandel is not the man to do it. Stupid politics.

Good riddance. He was a Boehner/Kasich stooge who doesn’t have a conservative bone in his body. Maybe we can get a real conservative in the seat.
