In the comments section of the article, a poster commented on how much President Trump spends on his stays at his golf courses.
I was under the impression he was paying his personal expenses out of his own pocket.
Liberals all have a needle in their arm called, “Other peoples’ money”.
The Obamas still spent less per empolyee.
Michelle people average salary = 77,500
Melania people average salary = 121,675
Assuming many, if not all, were women, then Michelle was underpaying women?
And that’s not even speculating on how many cronies Mooshelle hired for “make-work” jobs, just to have the prestige of a large posse.

My sister worked in the White House during the years about 1985-1990. She was one of three employees at the time who reported to the first lady. She worked for Nancy Reagan and then Barbara Bush. (She loved them both.) The three direct reports at the time were Executive Housekeeper (my sister’s position), the White House cook, and a Social Secretary.
The number of First Lady employees skyrocketed under Hillary Clinton and later Michelle Obama (including the special assistant that Michelle needs to replace the mirrors).

I don’t think that’s a lot for Washington.
Great pictures and a great reminder.
And the chef must have brought in lots of assistants for the parties.
But that shows how much times have changed. Every chef has an entourage that almost requires their own plane for travel.
And I miss the days when the professional staff was Filipino. Very gracious and very humbled to be working in the White House.
He also isn’t taking a salary.

The Trumps, OTOH, are frugal. The President accepting only a dollar for a salary? The First Lady cutting back on expenses? It’s because they care about the country.
I would love to know more about Mrs. Trump’s background; I bet things were not easy as a child in Eastern Europe.
I’m half Czechoslovakian and my family sent regular care packages to a little Bohemian town, during the ‘40s. At some point, the family asked for tennis balls. My grandfather said, if they need tennis balls, they don’t need us to send them canned goods anymore. LOL!
OTOH, Moo wasn’t giving her staff a living wage whereas Melania is.
Moo said Malia and Sasha were listed as junior staff. How much were they paid? I doubt Barron is on the payroll and we aren’t paying for grandma to live in as his babysitter.

POTUS Donald Trump had to do physical labor in his youth. He rubbed shoulders with the everyday working class. That helped teach him the true value of money.
Melania grew up in the Soviet Workers Paradise of Slovenia, where people stood in line for necessities like bread and milk.
That taught her the true value of things.

Can you imagine standing in line for hours for a loaf of bread and watching the person ahead of you walk away with the last loaf? I can’t.
How about counting every square of toilet paper to make sure you had enough?
