John McCain keeps serving his revenge to Donald Trump ice cold
CNN ^ | October 23, 2017 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 10/23/2017 3:02:04 PM PDT by Trump20162020

In an interview with C-SPAN about the Vietnam War that ran over the weekend, Sen. John McCain said this:

"One aspect of the conflict, by the way, that I will never, ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America, and the highest income level found a doctor that would say they had a bone spur. That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve."

While McCain didn't mention any names, anyone paying any sort of attention knows that he is talking about President Donald Trump, who received five deferments during the Vietnam War, including one for -- you guessed it! -- bone spurs.

I get that McCain’s excuse for backstabbing us is his pique at Trump.

What has been his excuse over the last couple of decades? He has been pretty consistent in his backstabbing. I don’t really think he needs an excuse.

McDork is a child. Always has been. Got where he was because the Navy would not kick out an incompetent *sshole whose father was an Admiral.

He is not smart (last or next to last in his class at Annapolis), not a good pilot (crashed how many planes?), has the judgement of a rabid animal, and has the judgement of Caligula.

Couple that with being almost immeasurably fugly, with a personality to match, and you have someone that only liberals will miss when he assumes room temp.

Summary: He is an incompetent idiot with no personality.

“If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”

In what war was every American asked to serve? McCain does not make even superficial sense.

We should never forget that not many years ago there was some legislative sentiment to pass a federal constitutional amendment to define marriage as being between one man and one woman.

This was before the US supreme court renounced reason, but during the time California and other kook bastions were overthrowing the votes of their own citizens.

Mr. McCain - like Barack Obama - swore he was for traditional marriage but opposed a constitutional amendment to protect it because it was only a state issue, not a federal issue.

Then it was. And the frog was boiled.

After the missed opportunity, both Obama and McCain quickly accepted what they said they fundamentally opposed. That is because they are both no good.

His revenge" being that Donald Trump did what he couldn't in 2000 and 2008

Yes, one strongly suspect that Mister McCain is settling a score not only w President Trump, but also us voters...

...and also with Republicans and Conservatives (and Indies) in general.

He lives, and always has, for heavy petting from the NYT and the WaPo. And the "news" media weasels are only too happy to string him along (while laughing at him privately).

I lost all respect I had for McCain when he stood by and did absolutely nothing while Sarah Palin and her family were relentlessly attacked by the scum-sucking media and that homosexual, half-breed muslim.

I tend to agree with you, criticize his politics, but in terms of the Vietnam War, the draft was targeted towards working class whites and blacks. The U.S. fought a war that did not require the sacrifices to be borne by all segments of society. Those are the facts

I don’t agree with McCain’s politics but he served and got shot at when others of his generation, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump did not. Those are the facts.

Mclame is despised amongst vets due to th arrogance and incompetence he showed in our heroic military.

I feel sorry for McCain. I would surely hope not to meet my maker with this sort of behavior on my conscience.

If McCain has trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ, then ALL his sins are forgiven. That alone will determine where he, or anyone, spends eternity -- in the New Jerusalem as joint heir with Christ, or in the lake of fire experiencing *deserved* eternal torment.

God is just but he is also merciful and has made provision for every man to receive forgiveness of sin.

Postscript
I unfortunately do not have anything in .45-70. I had my eye on a Marlin in the late 90s. "Enjoyed" shooting a friend's with 400 gr SPFNs.

The idea that you cannot criticize a man’s “dis”service unless you have served is fallacious, idolatrous, and worthy only of the always scurrilous left.
