I have two West Point Grads as Nephews.
One married a girl whose father is a Clinton Liberal beyond belief.
And there are many many more like him..
If this guy who is presiding over the trial and sentencing is a lib nutjob then he could give Bergdahl time served as the little darling had such a tough time while in enemy hands.

UCMJ Article 85, paragraph c:
“Any person found guilty of desertion or attempt to desert shall be punished, if the offense is committed in time of war, by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct, but if the desertion or attempt to desert occurs at any other time, by such punishment, other than death, as a court-martial may direct.”
Get a new judge then.
The Presidents comments nor the publics perception of how the UCMJ operates is not what is on trial here.
