Yup. The GOP is screwing over millions of people who will have their taxes raised.

Oh and here’s a wonderful thing! Individuals lose their state and local tax deduction, but big corporations are allowed to keep it! That’s right! It is an “evil” deduction for you and me and must be taken away, but not for them.

All pigs are equal. It’s just that some pigs are more equal than others.

I think you missed my point. It’s not necessarily what they believe or what they tell the voters they believe, it’s about tallying up the needed votes, and then those that can vote no in the hopes of being reelected can do so. It’s politics.

Leonard Lance.

He was on board for a while. We scared him pretty good back in 2009/10.

Looks like he needs to be reminded to dance with the ones that brung him.

Not if they keep the whole ban on the stated and property tx deductible.

And Reagan's tax cuts were across the board; this thing isn't!

So WHY should others, who don’t have a mortgage nor dependent children, have to just suck it up, and watch those who do, get a better deal in this mess?

And remember them in up coming elections.

Ken Buck a pretty solid conservative. If he voted no, he voted against too much spending. Put your broad brush away.

Considering the alternative, that’s not going to be easy. Katko has done a lot that I like.

Mr. mm and I want to contact his office and find out WHY he voted as he did.

"This vote was rigged so that the budget would pass even though many Republicans in Dem districts were under local pressure from their constituents to oppose it"

Exactly right, AC. This was smart politics by the Republicans for a change. So many folks don't know that the exact number of pro and con votes are known and embedded before a floor vote is taken. Then, Pubbies in tough districts are given "byes" to vote what will be best for them in their district....but the bill will still pass.

All parties have done this from time immemorial, it was done on my board when I was an elected county commissioner, it's done on the aldermanic etc. level...and is one of the oldest tricks in the world.

If 100% political purity is the standard, we'd have NO Republican senators and reps in congress at all.

I didn’t know is position was to oppose all spending. Thanks for correcting me. No, I don’t believe in zero spending.

Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in Lance’s district by a pretty comfortable margin. I’m sure these House members know the sentiments of their constituents very well.
