Pruitt guts EPA science panels, will appoint new members

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday he intends to replace the outside experts that advise him on science and public health issues with new board members holding more diverse views.

In announcing the changes, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt suggested many previously appointed to the panels were potentially biased because they had received federal research grants. The 22 boards advise EPA on a wide range of issues, including drinking water standards and pesticide safety.

“Whatever science comes out of EPA shouldn’t be political science,” said Pruitt, a Republican lawyer who previously served as the attorney general of Oklahoma. “From this day forward, EPA advisory committee members will be financially independent from the agency.”

Pruitt has expressed skepticism about the consensus of climate scientists that man-made carbon emissions are the primary cause of global warming. He also overruled experts that had recommended pulling a top-selling pesticide from the market after peer-reviewed studies showed it damaged children’s brains.

Pruitt said he will name new leadership and members to three key EPA advisory boards soon — the Science Advisory Board, Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee, and the Board of Scientific Counselors. …

Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM) is trying hard to win the “Kaine/Warner Award” for the stupidest Senator now in office. His complaint against the EPA appointing new Board members is very similar to Marxist pronouncements on everything. “They’re getting rid of the experts and appointing people from Big Chemicals, Polluters, and Banks”.

The “experts” brought us the King Mine disaster. A real scientist, a geologist, warned against drilling test holes in the sides of the mines instead of taking samples of the water from above. You know what happened.

Some “experts” are just fakes and frauds, and the Obama administration was the home of too many of them.

Michel Mann, the lead author of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, had filed a, "Slap suit" against a Climate Change skeptic, Dr Bell, in Canada, with the suit heading towards final verdict in the British Columbia Supreme Court. Mann, who has refused to let anyone examine, his scientific methodology in total, has allowed, a few sections of his research work to be peer reviewed, but never the whole package, that provided confirming context to other sections. When applying to sue Dr Bell, Mann declared he would provide his entire work product, which is the foundation for the vast majority of the Environmentalist "Global Warming" fear mongering and need to begin "taxing deadly carbon dioxide" non-sense comes from. When pressed to produce his methodology, Mann went to a US Court and got a declaration, that essentially said Mann's work product was proprietary and he did not have to share it with others. Mann took his ruling back to the BC Supreme Court and claimed, that even though he had previously promised to turn over his scientific work, to initiate the law suit, he didn't have to, because he had Court ruling saying so. The Supreme Court Justice explained to Mr Mann, his ruling was certainly applicable, if he were before a American Court. However, that ruling did not apply in Canada. Because Mann had failed to meet his commitments the BC Supreme Court now presumes his original filing is false and that it is a deceptive filing. The "Global Warming" movement is being exposed as the Fraud it is. Nothing more that a New World Order wealth redistribution scheme. Hey Donald, We can use the money, we won't be spending on "Global Warming", to build a great big beautiful Wall. Just a thought.

Michael Biesecker is not a journalist and the AP is not a news organization. Rather both act as leftist shills who lard their articles with politically-inspired prejudice, innuendo and lies.

Basically, steering science so he can continue to receive grants.

I thought that Pavlov had already done this experiment? Or is it more B F Skinner and his box?

That would not happen if the researcher’s results said “I find no evidence of anthropogenic induced climate change, but I recommend a follow-on study for further investigation.”

The government would immediately redirect that money to the researcher who reported “Man is destroying the planet. I recommend further research.”

Not sure why Pruitt even needs advice.

She sound like a college graduate from a prestigious university.

Have you ever discussed Yuri Bezmenov with her?

You gotta love (insert sarcasm here) Biesecker's strained describtion of what a Non-Swamp Dwelling member of this committee would look like.

Congress must pass legislation strictly limiting and defining the EPA’s powers, or this is all just temporary.

Too many Globalists RINOS in congress right now. We're gonna have to drain some more of the swamp creatures first before that can happen.

You can’t discuss anything with her or her peers. The brainwashing that’s taken place in our so-called “educational” system has been very effective, just as Bezmenov warned.
