I will add that MLK’s daughter is a Trump supporter and that MLK was a republican.
The Trump supporter was King’s niece. GA did not have registration by party in the days of King. There were no official “D” or “R” there unless they filed as candidates for office. What Republican did MLK support? I don’t know, maybe Javits in 1962.
