This calculator shows a tidy savings in my case, even with the new standard deduction in lieu of current itemized deductions.

Try it for yourself.

It only helps us a teensy bit, but still better than nothing. From 15% to 12%. It will help one of my siblings and my parents a great deal.

Actually it isn’t enough. It should be more, maybe from 15% to 10%. ;)

Excellent; I support the tax cuts and reform package, whatever it ends up as, whether I pay more or less. I trust President Trump to shepherd through something very good for the middle class and business.

Does it include all of the facts, that are in this proposition, that’s just come out?

They’re asking for gross income. Besides my pension, I get Social Security, and not all of that is taxable. I don’t itemize or have any other credits, and always take the standard deduction. I’m assuming in that case, that I’d use the adjusted gross income, once I complete the Social Security worksheet. Can anyone verify that?

I tried it and I don’t like it. It’s going to cost me a LOT more (and I don’t have a high income).

12% savings for me. Of course I am in a red state and I am retired in a much lower tax bracket than I was when I was working. I do like the idea of simplifying the bloated tax code.

My over all tax burden goes up 1,000 dollars. Great more money to the government. What a rip off. I thought I was going to save my own money. I hate that calculator.

Rich get richer, poor get poorer at least with that calculator. I am going to have to pay another 1,200 on my 87,000 annual salary....you save half my salary.....what the hell is that about? The whole thing won’t pass thank God.
