Cruz pulls support from Moore: Allegations merit ‘criminal prosecution’ if true

Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday withdrew his support from Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, saying allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors.

“As it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true,” the Texas Republican told reporters, according to a Texas Tribune reporter.

“Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,” he added.

Breitbart home page Big Government only had this in subtitles with short articles. I’m guessing Breitbart has pulled back his support of Moore.

At this point, I believe Moore needs divine intervention to survive.

In my mind, this is being done to derail Trump’s agenda and throw a senate seat to the democrats It’s really about Trump.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly!!!!
I wish TRUMP would come along side of Roy and support him!!!
He is just a bad swamp stain in political history.
And he’ll be reelected in a walk next year.
I doubt it will happen except covertly. I think Trump’s best option is for Strange to resign and the Alabama governor to appoint Sessions back to his old seat. Trump gets rid of Sessions and the Senate keeps a 2 vote margin and Sessions appoints a uranium one special prosecutor on his way out the door.
Sessions was far better in the senate.
President Trump has said that “if these allegations are true, Judge Moore will do the right thing and step aside.”
I wish Cruz hadn’t come across as sounding like he believes the accusers. But the point he’s making is consistent with the point Trump has made ... that ****IF*** the allegations are truth, then Roy Moore should step aside.
Frankly, I don’t believe the accusers. I believe Moore.
>> Ted Cruz does what George Bush tells him to do. <<
The Bush machine was strongly against Cruz when he ran for the Senate.
So now we learn that Cruz takes orders from the Bushes.
Who wudda thunk?
Yeah , Heidi was on the grassy knoll and was the real shooter.
Cruz missed an opportunity to remain quiet here.
Moore is a showman and an opportunist, but he’s obviously better than a democrat or the squish McTurtle wanted.
Either that or Bannon decided on his own. Wasn’t he Ted Cruz’s main supporter or campaign manager or something? If Cruz pulls back then it only makes sense to see Bannon pull back.
Lyn’ Ted... First, not surprised as his own past might come out. But am surprised that this fake American and supposed legal scholar thinks criminal charges might be warranted for accusations dating back 40 years. Not statute of limitations? I’m fine with there not being one but I’ve been reading that all of this is past any chance of prosecuting if there is even a credible crime to prosecute. If more did date and seek dating teens in Alabama while going into his 30s, is this illegal or culturally unusual, especially in Alabama and the south?
It is interesting that we can convict someone on allegations yet acquit people after facts are presented.
Casey Anthony, O.J. come to mind.
WHERE IS THE PROOF?????
Greed and lust for power is what we’re seeing.....It’s truly a stunning work seeing how quickly the Rhinorats and Dinorats can get together with a singular goal of destroying a fellow servant of the people....yet take years to actually do anything for the people they say they serve.... if ever!
The fact that these women are now coming foreword, “after” the Primary election, but before the General election stinks worse than the old and dying dead fish still sitting in their seats in Congress!
We’re here because our justice systen crashed and burned long ago.....and they all laughed on the way to their bank.
The latest accuser who you say is a confirmed Trump supporter is listed as inactive on the voting records and did not vote in the last election. Name me one other Trump supporter you know who did not vote for Trump in the last election? Any true Trump supporter would have crawled over broken glass to get to the polls. Please think and check your sources before jumping to conclusions and incriminating innocent people
Prince Charles was 33 when he married Diana who was 20. He met her when she was 16 and dated her about 18 and proposed about 19.
The difference is how these things are painted by the media, as with Priscilla 14 and Elvis 30ish.
Then there’s Michael Jackson whose victims were 10 or 11.
