So liberals are downsizing, eh? Somehow I am not convinced. Socialism is not for the socialists.

The parties don’t really worry about “climate change”. They just want to control the purse strings to decide who gets the money for “research”.

I can tell you what they’ll do, it’ll involve a tax. For Dems, the one solution to every problem is to stand back and throw someone else’s money at it. If it don’t work, confiscate more money and do it again. Repeat as necessary.

The Democrats fix for Climate Change is still in place; tax everybody that uses fossil fuel and everything that burns it in order to create a mammothly huge pool of money for politicians to scam from thus to increase their control and power. Same as their ploy behind Obamacare.

Thanks Oldeconomybuyer. Gosh, it's almost as if they were merely using AGW as a blunt instrument against their Republican adversaries, part of their drive to crush all dissent using anti-Constitutional laws, court-packing, and lawfare, with their final goal of a single party state in apparent view.
The roots of this crisis go back to 2009, when Democrats held unified control of the White House and Congress.
No,the roots of this crisis go back at least as far as the demagogue Carl Sagan, who was the first prominent champion of the AGW line of horse****.

Pebble Bed Reactors??

Learn something new every day!

I need to read up on the physics as to WHY the reactions stops at higher temps. Also, what is the secondary heat exchange media?

“....the Democratic Party does not have a plan to address climate change.....”

Of course they don’t. There is NO SUCH THING! We CAN’T affect global climate. It’ just too YUGE.

Of course not. Aside from the obvious fact that there doesn’t exist any policy other than reversion to Stone Age living conditions that would actually result in avoiding the projected heating of the planet, everyone knows that “climate change” is actually a religion, like the rest of progressivism. You publicly state your “belief” in it, nod your head in acknowledgment of your complicity in it, and drop a few coins as the pass the hat around, to salve your guilt.

http://www.newscats.org/?p=12894

quote:

Going all the way back to Carl Sagan’s original essay on the runaway warming greenhouse gas effects from CO2 making Earth into another Venus turned out the following:

“Like Venus, the Earth also has about 90 atmospheres of carbon dioxide; but it resides in the crust as limestone and other carbonates, not in the atmosphere. If the Earth were moved only a little closer to the Sun, the temperature would increase slightly. This would drive some of the CO2 out of the surface rocks, generating a stronger greenhouse effect, which would in turn incrementally heat the surface further. A hotter surface would vaporize still more carbonates into CO2, and there would be the possibility of a runaway greenhouse effect to very high temperatures. This is just what we think happened in the early history of Venus, because of Venus’ proximity to the Sun. The surface environment of Venus is a warning: something disastrous can happen to a planet rather like our own.”

The evils of man-made warming apparently came later. His first theory requires Earth to move closer to the Sun. And all this, only because he needed to find an excuse for his original mistake...the one in which he maintained Venus was verdant and lush, with a climate similar to Earth. Sagan must have gotten the shock of his life when the temperature of Venus was finally established, 864 degrees F. How could he have been so wrong?

Smoking pot does that to people. Science under the influence of a mind altering drug isn’t science.

Had he listened to Velikovsky, he would have known why Venus was hot, and we would have been spared the entire global warming fiasco.
