LOL. Yes, that does warrant a quote of the month award.
I have an additional/alternative theory: If a person is in a certain kind of distress, the devil (actually one or more of a host of demons, but we can collectively call it the devil) can then suggest a false relief to the distress. Something that brings pleasure at the time but effects compromise in the future. Kind of like spiritually eating one’s own seed corn.
And devil dominance can carry from person to person, such that the devils increase their territory.
It’s a cruel game, and it can require a Christ-grade cheer, love, and patience to reverse it. I simply feel sad for that friend who was compromised in that way. A genuine gospel message is needed. In a day and age where increasingly “you don’t talk about God in public or to strangers.” Well, except of course when you do.
This is also why Jesus hung around in His day’s demimonde.
These people — the prostitutes, thieves, and other low life people of His day — knew they were in trouble, and a strategic kind word from God could illuminate their soul’s night sufficiently to begin to move them towards the Dayspring.
Not so a whole lot of the official religious people. They could be like “whitewashed tombs” and lean on their pride, which in turn came from their cultivated public image.
I had a part sad, part funny experience with a pastor of a church that I had played piano in (like a boss) for three years, then left to take a job in another state. Suddenly this guy becomes hypersensitive to whatever I might be seen as implying, begins to blame me for all manner of bizarre things, and before long he’s fit to be tied. Well, he might have been idolizing me without either of us knowing it, and taken my departure as spiritual abandonment. Now, still being a believer, he isn’t in as bad a position as the Pharisees and Saduccees. But still he has a mountain of pride to move. Telling him about it is now the tricky thing.
>>There is something about homosexuality that is akin to disease.<<
That’s because it IS a disease, and until recent times was medically recognized as a psychological disorder.
The 10 Commandments.
No doubt; that was an issue with our “gay governor” (Jim McGreevey) here in NJ. Risky and disgusting behavior; he even had a couple of children with two different wives. The second one publicly insisted that the marriage and child were simply props for his political career. After resigning, he disappeared for a few years then ended up in another government job.
Almost as stupid letting the MSM proclaim "Milo" the posterboy of the conservative alt-right

Luke 17:1-4
7 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
NIV
Imagine that... another faker
Indeed. May Glory be to God in all things, in his Beloved Son.
