I've been seeing this sort of phrasing appear a lot lately, and I suspect, like most things, it is a passing phase within the hive mind. All the hipsters think it is just absolutely the coolest way to say stuff, ever!

The correct way to say something like this would be:

"As a journalist, I find this borderline offensive."

And then, of course, after tweeting that, one should immediately cut his wrists and lean back in tranquil anticipation of sweet oblivion. Or hell, depending on who you ask.
