Earthquake Felt in Maryland (Vanity)

I just felt an earthquake and checked the USGS. Sure enough:
Strength: 5.1
Time: 2017-11-30 21:47:30 (UTC)
Location: 39.184°N 75.378°W
Depth: 8.1 km

I felt it in Fairfax, VA. Apparently people felt it in Baltimore, PA, and NY too.

I didn’t feel it. It was centered near Dover, DE. Maybe there was some softer ground between them and where I live. I believe the waves travel better through hard rock.
