Westfield State University will soon install 400 security cameras after a spree of alleged hate and bias incidents has prompted unrest and protests at the Massachusetts campus.
The board of trustees held a special meeting last week to approve the measure.

Most likely they will catch fake hate crimes. Cameras are not the do not reflect the oppressed in a good light.

I wonder if black students will be disproportionately affected by video evidence of crimes being committed?

A minimum of $80K for the cameras
Add 100K to network the cameras
Add $800K per year if you want human beings to watch the video feed from those cameras.
I sounds to me like this college has too much money and nothing useful to do with it.
Maybe they should lower their tuition.

Putting those 400 cameras in is a hate crime...against freedom. More university administrator nitwits at work.

Come on, we all know that while hate may be displayed in public, hate is spread and taught in private. I think the college shouldn't stop at half measures. I think they need to step up and really commit to squashing
freedom hate. Since embeddable thought monitoring technology is not yet available they should do what they can -- by installing audio and video surveillance in dorm rooms, halls, bathrooms, etc. Only through constant vigilance and the swift actions of benevolent overseers can we ensure a peaceful and enjoyable environment for
brainwashing,
re-education, learning.
The really sad thing is, there are libtards out there who would nod their heads and sign up for that -- as long as the "right" ... er ... "correct" things were being taught and enforced.

Or will they ignore them?

It reminds me a bit of another college program. Our local college is flooded with emergency call boxes with bright blue lights on top. You can see them especially at night. They are everywhere, you are never out of sight of three or more at any time. The idea being that female students will feel safe knowing that they are never more than yards away from help.
But as soon as you cross the street into the real world where these women will live the rest of their lives and the call boxes disappear.

And how much is the tuition for this school versus the amount of money the school spends on this project?
To: SeekAndFind
Something just occurred to me....doesn’t the Senate’s tax bill tax endowments over a certain amount per student? Wonder if the college is trying to spend down in case of passage?

Leftists don’t like sane solutions.
I’d love to know though, will they just delete the video when they see the proof that they’re all doing these themselves?
