Your very rude comment to me is NOT the way to convince people to contribute to FR and if you think it is, maybe you should lay off.
I contributed monthly for a long time, you have no idea. I also donated every time someone signed up to contribute monthly for almost a year. I donated quite a few extra hundreds of dollars that year ~ as I said, you have no idea. Right now we’re lucky to pay all our bills every month. Again you have no idea. IF you have access to who donates or not then maybe you should be kinder in your comments. If you don’t, then you need to not post the types of things you did. I could be someone that gives thousands and you’d have made me so mad I’d stop. Not very smart.
And FYI, I love Trump. I was a supporter early and always will be, forever. I was seriously concerned that something was wrong with him or I’d never have commented.
As far as donating, as I mentioned above, we’re lucky to pay our bills each month. We have NO FRILLS, no dinners out, no lattes at Starbucks, no lunches out, no new clothes, no nothing right now. We don’t even go to the doctor if we can help it because we don’t have money for the copays. If Jim Robinson would like me to leave FR because I can’t donate than I guess that’s up to him to tell me. And if he thinks your approach of belittling people and then telling them to donate is working, he should rethink that.
You know what? Disregard what I wrote and just close my account. I’m done.
Shame to see a good FReeper leave. I too have had a bit of an up and down donation history, based on personal circumstance. It never made any difference. Jim Rob has never played favorites based on donations that I can see.
Just my two cents.

There have been a few of us who have been willing to donate "token" amounts in someone else's name if they really couldn't afford it....the offer is there to any who will ping me by email - will donate $10 for up to 10 folks and never mention it/them.
Watching our son in his last days after fighting cancer for over 3 years; and as he declines and my wife hurts more, I tend to be getting coarser and will rein myself in - not going for sympathy, just providing my "alibi"....the son will be in God's hands soon and his suffering will be over and my wife will be able to her drawn out grieving/hurting process which will also ease my mind and make me more....tolerant.
I agree, I listened on the radio in my car and he sounded like he had a cold.
