Bullshit! It's disrespect! Period!

And, Jared Mack, on Fox Business this morning, asked why people even "care" that these players kneel! He just wants it to go away. Idiot!

BOYCOTT THE NFL!!!...FOREVER!!!

I’m really not a sports fan but I’d have to say, at least as far as the Redskins are concerned, it’s a poor product. As far as players not respecting our National Anthem, I’d have to say disrespect.

We used to watch because some of these guys were REAL athletes, and our heros. Now it’s just a bunch of mean black guys doing silly dances in the endzone and talkin’ jive. The “culture” has changed, it doesn’t represent a culture I want to be associated with so professional football no longer interests me. (Doesn’t have anything to do with the flag thing for me).

I am willing to bet that tonight’s ratings will be the best of the year.

Everyone in New England will be watching. Everyone else will watch to see if the Pats lose.

As a former life long Saints fan, I have put up with, stomached and otherwise endured a piss poor product for a long damn time, and was still prepared to do so until my death.

However, I will not tolerate disrespect to my country and my flag AT ALL.

Thus I have said goodbye to the detestable New Orleans Taints and the NFL, and there’s no going back.

If the league has become too quarterback-centric, then a) give the defensive backs more leeway and cut back on the pass interference calls; and b) go back to traditional blocking that is very different from today’s holding (which is basically allowed as long as the blocker’s arms do not get around the outside of the defensive man’s shoulders). I don’t know when the rules for blocking (or was it just the enforcement?) got loosened up (in the seventies?) but I think it has had a big impact. But the league wants high scores which you can only get if the quarterbacks have enough time.

Actually, it’s both.

It is both. I haven't totally boycotted the NFL, but every time I tune in, the level of play is just awful. I watch maybe 10% of what I watched when I was a kid.

At least your favorite team won a Super Bowl.

My team used to be the Bengals. I stuck with the team through thick and thin. Mostly thin. But I've had enough. I'm not going to support a league/business that just urinates on my values.

The NFL’s problem is over-saturation and over-pricing.

Exactamundo. The doofus that wrote this tripe doesn’t understand that a big part of the any product is the behavior and attitude of the people selling you the product.

If Walmart clerks were to spit in the eyes of their customers, it would have the same exact reaction that the NFL is having, even if the actual merchandise remained the same.

They are confused (or lying). Former NFL fans now watch college football, and betting has shifted with their viewing; the shocking rudeness of protesting our anthem is a major reason why they have shifted to college, not just a coincidence.

Boy, I don't know what you're looking at, but I see a level of physical capability, in strength and in speed, far beyond what had been familiar to me. Perhaps what you are reacting to is "stalemate". Everybody is so good, nobody can win ... that sort of thing.

On those rare occasions I do watch sports on TV, I am not looking to watch some smug Leftwing political crap. Nor would I even want to watch political statements of any kind, even one’s I agree with...at those times I just want to watch sports and forget about that kind of thing for a while. Thus, none of the rare occasions will I ever be watching the NFL or even ESPN....unless at some future time they stop mixing that kind of crap into their product.

The product is getting lamer, it’s true, but to act like the disrespect isn’t having an impact is ludicrous.

Meh.
A bunch of thugs playing a kids game.
One can hear about it later, if one is terminally bored.
