I think you’re quite correct. He wasn’t going to resign for “these” reasons when a soon-to-be election might give him an out. He knows what all this #metoo stuff is about, he knows he’s being thrown under the bus and they’ll be far less pressure if it all fails on Moore & Trump.
Smart, well-intentioned men would have stated, "Yep. I screwed up. Going to resign and consider the consequences of my actions." Of course, pulling a "Franken" wouldn't make them smart or well-intentioned. But run with it...
The fact that Franken waffled and wavered and sort of kind of resigned but not really, means that he had something up his sleeve. WBill Jr used to do that when he was 5 and got caught sneaking cookies. 'Tisn't much different.
Lends credence to my theory. My bet is that the pick gets postponed, or Franken recinds his resignation before the announcement.

You are correct. The exit polling during the POTUS race in 2016, Trump vs. Clinton was terrible and full of lies and misconceptions. I would look for the same this evening. The only thing that counts is the actual election results.

NO!! You have to show photo ID. Then it is check against the registered print out. You are either on the Rep or the Dimwit. Then you have to sign by your name on the printout. If your name is not on it, YOU DON’T VOTE, PERIOD!!! No same day sign up at the polls.

What’s turnout been in Birmingham? I’m concerned, and frankly it looks fairly ‘racist’ to me that every national Dem who came into AL and Obama’s calls seem geared 100% to the state’s black population.

I think you’re right. Franken has no intention of leaving.
He was stalling, buying time until the Alabama race is decided. If Moore wins, Franken will make a “moral equivalency” argument to keep his seat.

I’m 76 years old and grew up in largely divided worlds.. and watched racism.....but it was finally dying down until the Obama administration rekindled it!!! sigh..
