This is absolutely Clintonesque. I don't know whether to admire Johnson or despise him.

Yes the accusations were vetted by the voters and they found it wanting. Donald Trump is now President. Deal with it.

Case closed.

Yesterday it was taxes or Ray Moore. Don’t remember. Is Ron Johnson a switch hitter?

Should Trump get a mulligan because of Clinton?

Bringing it up a second time amounts to double jeopardy, which is unconstitutional.

Entire article .

Sen. Ron Johnson said Thursday that he does not support investigating accusations against President Trump for sexual assault because the voters have already cast their ballots.

“Trump’s problems were vetted during the campaign,” Mr. Johnson, Wisconsin Republican, said on CNN. “The American people elected President Trump.”

The senator said that if a new accusation were made during Mr. Trump’s presidency, then Congress should investigate that claim, but the senator said the voters have made their judgment with these allegations out in the public.

Four women have come forward in recent days to retell their stories of sexual misconduct regarding Mr. Trump. These women all came forward during the presidential campaign as well, but said they needed to tell their stories again in wake of the new national conversation about sexual harassment.

Democratic lawmakers have already called for a formal investigation into the claims.

I don't know what dictionary Johnson, and Huckabee Sanders, use but nothing was "vetted" during the campaign. The charges were made and the electorate decided that they weren't important enough to make them vote against Trump. There was no investigation or anything like that. Charges were made, charges were denied or, in the case of the Access Hollywood tape, admitted and apologized for. And the campaign moved on.

Only if you're unclear on what double jeopardy means as it relates to the 5th Amendment.

I would posit only one extenuating circumstance. He has formally given his heart and life to Christ since all of that stuff went down. Therefore, he has been forgiven in God’s eyes, and elected POTUS. Those failures, whatever they may have been, have been expunged from God’s Books.

The difference from what Slick was doing, is that even after being elevated to the office of the Presidency, Slick CONTINUED his sexual peccadilloes, some right inside the Oval Office. This course of behavior would not even be envisioned by Donald Trump, and he has been monogamous for some time now.

Has Donald Trump ever lashed out at specific females? The answer is “yes”, but only when he was first attacked by those specific individuals, and he is a ruthless counter-puncher when he thinks the situation deserves it.

Donald Trump has also come to the support of females who have themselves been the target of others, many times totally unprovoked by the woman involved. Snark is a very unlovely personality trait, but when confronted, usually retreats, not in shame, but in mortal fear.

Agree. The Dems also forget that Billy Jeff actually did things while president in the oval office that should have resulted in his resigning but they circled wagons and preserved him...

“The American people elected President Trump.”

That's right. They are the voters the elite left and George Soros and Tom Steyer just despise, and don't know what to do with. Middle class White America. When the deep state demons are not planning and plotting Las Vegas-style exterminations of same, they keep coming up with slings and arrows to throw at the voters in the name of attacking "Trump". Like they know "what's best" for us. And they are our "superiors". BTW, it didn't take long for the LV massacre to get shoved down some memory hole by the media and the feds, now did it? Had it been a crowd of lefties who were massacred, we'd be living with curfews and under martial law by now.

No, not Clintonesque.

Simply putting the Constitution and the rule of law before the witch hunt.

Trump was elected. The accusations were well known when he was elected. The voters spoke. Case closed.

That is what should be done in all of these cases, including Al Franken. Let the voters decide.

Really?!? A woman who had nothing other than “vote for me, I am a woman and Trump is a sexist” didn’t do everything in her multi-billion dollar funded campaign to drive this home by bringing forth every accuser they could find? Even Gloria Allred got in on the act. They had a tape of Trump making a vulgar and offensive comment for goodness sakes!!

The problem was that whatever they accused Trump of it looked damned transparent in its political motivation. Trump fought the allegations tooth and nail and promised to sue (probably would have if he wasn’t elected) and some of the accusers who pressed their stories, had them start to fall apart. One fled the country.

The final problem was the perceived puppet master behind the accusers, Hillary, had some real hypocrisy problems. How could she suddenly claim to be a champion for women?

So after having failed with Russia-Trump collusion the left has moved on to “#me to” in order to brimg Trump down. They saw a way to turn the absolute decades of depravity in their own party and amongst their donor class into an advantage. Faster than you can say 1, 2, 3 sexal misconduct is now conflated with any sexual activity or encounter with the opposite sex that, in hindsight (and with enough financial motivation), makes or should have made the accuser in question uncomfortable. How they felt at the time is irrelevant.

How dare Trump ogle a beautiful woman!!! We need this to be fully vetted. What is that?!?!

Nah, only the democrats should get a pass under new rules that they put in place that gives their guy a pass when their guys or gals are in power. Once their guy is gone and our guys are in power, the old rules go back into effect but stricter than before making it so our guys can’t even so much as look cross eyed at a woman or that is rape.

Heads the Dems win, tails the Dems win. But at least we have the moral high ground in the new socialist utopia (where our high ground will then be made illegal as we are forced to bake cakes for satanists).

The problem for the left/media is that the direct result of their habit of flinging as much fake news poo at the wall in hopes that something sticks and brings Trump down is that if there’s any truth in any of it, none of it becomes believable. Also, the fact that these women didn’t step forward until the the 11th hour before the election makes their claims extremely dubious.

Not a wish but a fact. Is he not President? Were not the accusations before the election?

The "court of public opinion" recognizes no such defense.

Remembering the time lines is very critical re most of the lies about President Trump.

Like how could he have meddled with the election after he won the election on Nov 9, 2016.

It appears that a lot of the so called meddling happened after he was elected president. He was doing things like every previously elected president did.
