Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said on Sunday that the Republican Party is "losing the future" by turning off millennials.
"I look at Alabama and I say people are not happy with us being small, angry and narrow," Kasich said on NBC News's "Meet the Press," referring to last week's special Senate election. "They're starting to say no. That means that most of us who believe in a positive party are beginning to win, but we have a long way to go."
The Ohio governor also cited stances on various issues, such as immigration, health care and trade, that he said could hinder the GOP in the future.
"Instead of losing the future, which is what we're doing today by turning off millennials," Kasich said.
"We're beginning to see more of a tug of war pulling people toward a better position on the party. That's my sense, so I'm kind of optimistic with some of the things," he said.

So John, explain how a small, angry and narrow bunch of people manage to elect Donald Trump as President; asshole?
The election results had everything to do with false allegations of molestation, and hardly anything to do with a change of heart among voters.
Go buy yourself a nice, big, steaming cup of STFU!
How is that man still a Republican?
Kaisich hopelessly stupid
Yeah, we’re so small, angry and narrow we got DJT elected against the opposition of the GOPe, Democrats, FBI, MSM, CIA, DoJ, IRS, ad nauseum.
Cliff Clavin’s son is a moron.
Poor John. He knows personally about how bad it is being ‘small, angry and narrow’.
YW!
Politically, the most important thing to know about Millennials is that almost half of them are non-white.
Non-white Millennials vote 80% Democrat, almost exactly like their parents.
On the other hand, white Millennials vote almost exactly like their parents.
In 2012, white Millennials voted 55% for Romney, 42% for Obama, and 3% Third Party (mostly Libertarian).
I used 2012 statistics because the 2016 Trump election was one of the most radical upsets in American political history, plus, the final “National Election Pool” exit polling is behind a pay wall.
In general, however, Trump did slightly better with non-white voters than Romney, Trump did slightly worse with white voters than Romney, and a significant percentage of all voters chose a Third Party.
He’s not called a “RINO Squish” for no reason!
Go pound sand kasich and change the letter by your name to what it should be; a ‘d’.
Kasich...what a kreep.
I’m not sure...I think his dad was the milkman.
What does he even mean by positive? Thats just a refrain that doesnt make sense. Everyone is positive or negative depending on the issue and the outcome.
Kasich needs to stuff a burger in his pie hole.
