Things are not looking good for Obama, after Politicos bombshell expose, which detailed how the former president let Hezbollah off the hook for their many crimes, in order to cement a disastrous nuclear deal with Iran.
Now, Republican Congressman Robert Pittenger sent a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, urging an investigation into the Obama administration for protecting Hezbollah.
From Fox News
A Republican congressman on Monday urged the House to look into a report the Obama administration held up a Drug Enforcement Administration task forces investigation into Hezbollahs drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations, all to ensure the Iran nuclear deal remained on track.
After the bombshell exposé in Politico Sunday revealed that Obama administration officials road-blocked the campaign of the task force, Project Cassandra, to curtail the Lebanese militant groups criminal activities, Rep. Robert Pittenger of North Carolina sent a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy.
These revelations are shocking and infuriating, Pittenger said in a statement to Fox News. While American soldiers were bravely fighting ISIS terrorists, with some paying the ultimate price, the Obama administration reportedly was protecting Hezbollah terrorists who were funding themselves by trafficking illegal drugs. No wonder President Obama couldnt bring himself to call them Radical Islamist Terrorists.
Politico reported that the red tape against Project Cassandra allowed Hezbollah to evolve into a major global security threat bankrolling terrorist and military operations.
When Project Cassandra leaders, who were working out of a DEAs Counter facility in Chantilly, Virginia, sought approvals for some significant investigations, prosecutions, arrests and financial sanctions, Justice and Treasury Department officials delayed, hindered or rejected their requests, according to Politico.

>>So then the fault lies with the DOJ and the AG.<<
Actually, Congress is at fault. If they started locking up these no-shows and document with-holders, we might get somewhere. As it is, DoJ and FBI laugh at Congress and don’t give a damn about the law.
It's a valid criticism that Congress isn't locking up those who are in contempt.
That said, it's still the FBI who isn't investigating swamp critters and it's still the DoJ who isn't prosecuting swamp critters.
