An Indian national who pocketed $20 million by fraudulently importing foreign workers through the H-1B visa program to the U.S. will be deported after he completes time in federal prison. Raju Kosuri, a 45-year-old Indian-born U.S. resident, pleaded guilty to operating a cheap labor business where he brought nearly 1,000 foreign workers to the U.S. on the H-1B visa through fraudulent applications, according to the Washington Post.
Every year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B visa and are allowed to stay for up to six years. That number has ballooned to potentially hundreds of thousands each year, as universities and non-profits are exempt from the cap. With more entering the U.S. through the visa, Americans are often replaced and forced to train their foreign replacements.
Kosuri used his fraud foreign-importing business to bring his wife, 46-year-old Smriti Jharia, to the U.S. on a fraudulent H-1B visa. The two are the parents of an anchor baby, the term used to describe a U.S.-born child who is given birthright citizenship despite their parents being foreign nationals.

END the H-1B program.
Gee I wonder if the statute of limitations has expired on...

The ASAP laundromat Ameriquest execs had an interest in.

A million tech sectors here or there and we are talking about significant wage depression/suppression.
>>END the H-1B program.
Amen!
But then who would write the software required to game the systemic corruption of the financial infrastructure - that {some} Americans refused to collude in?
How many had left after the six year residency?
“END.....”
Some things are tantamount to those “high places” ancient Israel’s successive kings couldn’t bring themselves to tear down. Lots of hands in America’s cookie jar, inside and out.

If I recall one H1B told me he had to leave for 6 months and then was coming right back again.
For at least the past 20 years, Metro Detroit has been crawling with new arrivals who are displacing local residents in the tech sector...and I’m tired of hearing from Indian recruiters who call and e-mail with names like “Chuck”, “Pete”, “Don”, “Sally”, etc...They barely speak English and are annoyed when I have to ask them to repeat themselves, especially over the phone.
...they do their financing through foreign banks, use foreign owned distrubtors to supply their businesses, use immigrant workers (pay in cash)....then hired Indian lawyers to get their work visa’s extended($300 fee)
Are the workers deported too? Without that, there is no justice for the American worker.
Deported? He should be headed for Federal Pound-Me-In-The-A$$ Prison.
I’ve had a few of those contact me lately.
All for the same 6 month break/fix contract job with a state agency.
I worked for 21 years for a medium sized software company in Atlanta. I never saw a single foreign worker hired in all those years. The owner was a dedicated Republican and he insisted on American workers. I’m mentioning this because in contrast to the image of the greedy Republican businessman, there are those with integrity. The idea that you can’t find American workers is a lie.
Will the 1000 who entered illegally be deported also?
Give me one reason they should not be deported; one reason that is not bleeding heart, one constitutional reason. And I would bet most if not all knew they were knowing participants in fraud.
If I am defrauded do I not lose everything with no recourse for recovery as in Bernie Madoff, and now the same people defrauded by him must pay for his incarceration; is that the reasoning the liberal socialists will use to let them stay.
Winning!
According to some articles over the last few months they are
saying that these visa overstays are now exceeding the illegals
coming in from across the Southern border.
Anytime I have to speak to someone about anything and get someone I can barely understand I say....stop. I can’t understand you and refuse to try. Get me a manager that really speaks English. I will go up the line until I get someone that speaks English. I then will tell them how pissed I am that I have spent so much time on the phone trying to find someone who speaks English instead of getting my problem solved. It’s very satisfying. lol
Foreigners are fleecing our country with the help of our government.
