I never understood the liberal desire to phase out saying Christmas.

One key argument is that it is offensive to those who don’t celebrate Christmas, to talk of Christmas. Well, I’ve had many Jewish friends, who all wish me a Merry Christmas, even though they don’t celebrate. Those people I know are not offended because they don’t celebrate.

Another argument I’ve heard is that we have to be inclusive and celebrate diversity, keeping in mind that not everyone celebrates Christmas. I saw a survey, in which 93% of Americans celebrate Christmas. Christmas is probably the most inclusive event in our country, with 93% participating.

More celebrate Christmas than watch the Super Bowl. Yet nobody says we should not call the Super Bowl by its proper name, because not everyone follows football or watches the game.

statists do not want any associations to compete with gov‘t; hence their desire to destroy the family, the church, the boy scouts, independent charities, etc etc etc.

Do you wish them a Merry Christmas or a Happy Hanukkah?

I wish them a Happy Hanukkah. That’s a holiday celebration for them, so I’m happy to send my best wishes to them.

And carry the reasoning a step further, should we not say anything about Mother’s Day, because not everyone is a mother,or has their mother in their lives to celebrate with?

Should we not say anything about Father’s Day, for the same reason, that some will not feel it’s inclusive? It does seem to me that the reasoning to not say Christmas is absurd.

Bet you might find one person in 10,000 people who might be offended if you remind them a dozen times that they should be offended. After that, Democrats will be there champions if they will vote for Democrats.

That is how Democrats operate. A solution searching for a problem.

My boyfriend is Jewish and while he's a sucker for Christmas music and loves Dickens' Christmas Carol I still wish him a Happy Hanukkah.

What if they wished you a Happy Hanukkah?

If they wished me a Happy Hanukkah, I would graciously say thank you, and not say anything about not being Jewish. I would simply say thank you and that’s it.

I shopped at two stores yesterday. I said “Merry Christmas” to both cashiers and the reply was the same at each: “Have a good one.” What? Is there anything more humdrum than “Have a good one”? Not even “Have a good day!” “A good one.”

As a former liberal I've told conservatives to simply bowl over liberals objections to anything they don't like to hear. They're no one. True, they sometimes use the court system to impose their beliefs but usually that effort falls flat. They're not a majority. They're really a vocal and shrill minority. And if need be paste them one in the pie hole. Seriously. They resort to violence. Nothing better than paying someone back in their own coin.

I’ve had more people wish me a “Merry Christmas” this year than any time for at least 15 years.

The leadership on this needs to come from the very top, and thankfully after the Satanist Bush clan, Clinton and Obama, we now have a family proud to celebrate Christmas in a traditional way

You know, you are so right! This is the best, most meaningful Christmas I’ve known in many years.

Not making this up, but I honestly can’t name one specific reason why. Just a general feeling.

I send Hanukkah cards to my Jewish friends, except when it is early and I miss it (like this year). Then I send Happy New Year cards. NO “Happy Holidays”.

I never understood the liberal desire to phase out saying Christmas.

Attack their holidays, attack their language, attack their history, attack their heroes, attack their religion, attack their monuments, attack their skin color and attack their founders etc.

The anti-American left is clearly attacking our country.

If you understand “liberalism” as American Newspeak for “socialism,” and if you accept that the proper definition of socialism is “cynicism towards society, and concommitant naiveté towards government,” IMHO some things fall nicely into place. Cynicism is an antonym for faith, and “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb 11:6 Thus, the “liberal” rebels against God, placing faith in princes as a Christian (or Jew, FTM) is warned not to do (Psalm 146: 3-5).

So there is no reason to be surprised that “liberals” wish to censor any reference to Christ.

It's possible the cashiers are sick to death of being put in the middle of this idiocy, and now they refuse to acknowledge any holiday at all. If that's the explanation, I can't say I blame them. None of this is their fault.
