The RCMP up here tried the same thing with the Ruger 10/22 rifle magazine! They reclassified the non-restricted magazine because it *COULD* fit a pistol, This went against the actual wording of the regulation, but they did it anyway.

Amen, tyranny often starts at the lower levels with bureaucrats enacting laws that infringe on our freedmen.
A classic example is how our DOJ/FBI/CIA/IRS/ATF has seized power and rules over us as bureaucrats not as elected people during Bush2 and Obama.
