I agree with you. They can agree all they want on whatever ends up in the property settlement, etc., but the divorce will not be final until it is signed off on by a judge.
So I am leaning toward the first report, that they (Huma?) withdrew their divorce petition. You don’t just go out on your own and finalize your divorce without courts being involved.
Huma was trained by Hilary, so she'll just say: "I DON'T REMEMBER", "I DON'T RECALL", etc.; but IF the Weiners were divorced, then that does change things...if not, neither can be compelled, in any way, to "talk" against the other.
It's really as simple as that.
