The House on Thursday reauthorized a surveillance program used by the country’s intelligence agencies to spy on foreigners but voted against limiting it.

An amendment that would have put privacy restrictions on how authorities can use information gathered during the monitoring failed by a 233-183 vote.

Moments later, the House reauthorized the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act by a 256-164 margin.Earlier Thursday, President Trump trashed the program and then backtracked.

The latter, mostly. I suspect to the criminal element in our government both are considered a “threat”.

Is this to spy on terrorists or spy on the masses?

Given the history of the NSA & mass surveillance, it is to spy on all us, with the magic word "terrorists" used as a smoke screen.

#@$&$#!

I want 3 things on this:

1. 5 year mandatory minimum sentence for using gathered communication’s for political or personal reasons.

2. “Team Sedition” public hangings. All of them. Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Yates, McCabe,Strzok, Ohr, Ohr, etc. All of them.

3. A Porsche 911. I’ll settle for McCabe’s.

This will allow them to continue to collect everything.

Nothing is sacred. Your phone call to your child, your photo to your husband, your text to your mother. Your cell phone can record you while you are saying your prayers in church or on a park bench.

People, support the President all you want but he needs to veto this when it hits his desk. Since he was a victim of this unauthorized surveillance, you would think he would understand.

We are not a free people and this is unconstitutional.

By the way, notice the last sentence “then he backtracked”

He was visited by the deep state. This is a fact.

No American’s liberties are secure as long as the NSA and the CIA exist—it is just that simple.

IMO all Kabuki theater.

This is like saying “We’ll take pictures of you in your bedroom, but we won’t peek at them unless we really, really have to.”

And if you’re a political opponent, a celebrity, the next door neighbor or relative of someone with access, or in any other way interesting to them, they will really, really have to.
