One committee investigator asks if he was “also working on opposition research for Candidate Trump?” Simpson answers in the affirmative. “At the end of the Prevezon case,” he tells the committee, “we asked him to help.”

Veselnitskaya was no doubt Kremlin connected given the anti-Magnitsky stuff she was working on. Putin’s Russia government often uses cut outs like her on their behalf for deniability purposes.

There’s an even simpler way. It ever happened, and they simply made it up right there in their office. There was no “source”. A “source” is intended to make it seem possible on some level.
There is no such thing as a “source” for a bald faced lie.
The piss story was -invented- right there in Fusion/Clinton HQ.

Before the Senate committee, Simpson claimed to find out about the Trump Tower meeting in the New York Times, only thing is, he met Veselnitskaya two hous befoe the Tower meeting and two hours after. A completely obvious case of Perjury, and Sessions is Nowhereman.

I don’t think Steele had a source at all. It was simply made up.
The democrats believed the story because they know that Clinton probably has done it, therefore,they assume all presidents are low life, sexual deviants like Clinton is.
