Star Trek takes PC to new extremes, even for Hollywood

Those of you (most of you) who haven't been watching the new Star Trek series, Star Trek Discovery, are missing out on a entirely new level of political correctness. The show features a black female protagonist named Michael; her boyfriend, a Klingon disguised as a Muslim-Arab security officer; an obese female cadet who is a genius in all areas of science; and a gay couple, one of whom is black and possibly also hispanic.

But that isn't enough for SJWs. They actually worry that the black gay character, who is also hispanic, is not visibly hispanic.

I’ve watched every episode of the new Star Trek, but I’m not sure it can sustain my interest much longer. It just doesn’t feel like a Star Trek universe, even before the mirror universe story arc began.

The acting, especially the black female lead, is pretty bad. I hate the re-imagined Klingons, hate the doctor, who is always dressed like a drum major for some reason.

They’re all freaking out there at CBS pay tv, because for some reason they can’t figure out, no matter how PC they make their new Star Trek, nobody wants to pay to see it. It’s a real stumper there in the head office.

Easy fix, have him/her/it wear tight chinos and black pointed boots with a huge belt buckle.................

ST:TNG was extremely PC.

They always had the episode-opening ‘On our way to an exciting encounter in the Cardicians wars, we stopped for another PC episode regarding a major malfunction in the holodeck.’

==

I am actually surprised with Fox’s The Orville. Other than few comedic attempts that fell flat, the show has some rather good plots.

They should have an androgynous character with both parts and have everyone keep telling him/her to go f-— yourself.

I was interested in the first free episode, but I won’t pay to see it. I already have streaming services.

Is bill shatner spinning in his grave?

No, but I suspect Leonard Nimoy is! Sounds like the new Star Trek is "highly illogical". But I wouldn't know, since I passed on the free episode and I'll be damned if I'll give CBS-BS any more money than my cable company pays them in tribute.

It's bad enough that every show on the network rams promos for "Ferret Face" Colbert down our throat every commercial break. Now they want me to pay real money for "Star Trek: The SJW Generation"? I don't think so.

Star Trek, even the original series, was always PC for its time. For instance, ST:TOS dealt with race issues ("Let That Be Your Last Battlefield"), the Vietnam War ("A Private Little War"), and even had the first interracial kiss ("Plato's Stepchildren").
